Aye they took back many of the model changes and such. So not having the fishing isnât the end of the world.
I like to think theyâre still up for release at some point. Just Blizzard had to move on to the next thing.

^ Sethrak supporters any time we get a hint of the smallest possibility weâll get information Sethrak could become playable.
Look at how cute all those Garter Snakes are and their periscoping.
I couldnât figure out a route to share just the video.
Gods thats adorable!
It is! I have a pet Garter Snake. Sheâs the cutest little thing. So curious too.
That post has been all over my fb feed cause everyone wants to tag me in it. XD
And I was thinking âGod, this fits the Sethrak group so well, I need to share it with them.â
I need a gif of the video.
Also shows that some snake species are social animals. Theyâre all coming out of hibernation and thatâs their communal winter den.
Itâs still an interesting discovery.
I know there is a song about Sethraliss but I think itâs trollish.
Itâs part of the flavor text for one of the Zandalari archaeology items.
âShould the young turn defiant, show anger or malice, the winds of Volâdun will bring the Sting of Sethraliss.â
That particular rhyme seems to imply that the Zandalari pronounce âSethralissâ differently from the Sethrak.
There is this as well; look under Tales of the Loa tab. That is the song I am referring to.
âIn densest jungle of darkest green,
Rules mother of many, but rarely seen.
Warm and lush and full of life.
Iron will and without strife.
Her mind unfurls, envelops all.
Her faithful ever heed her call.
Across de ages her eyes do see,
Seeking de best for you and me.
Through darkest night, and brightest day,
She will ever find her way.
In her, ya haven will be found.
Her all for us, her care profound.
Love unsurpassed will surely be,
When Sethraliss ya truly see.â
Yes that song is clearly written in troll dialect, but itâs also written on a sethrak scroll. Most likely a remnant from when the trolls and sethrak lived together under Sethraliss.
Ya know there is something to consider that could bring some more hope to you guys. Take note that Jinyu didnât become known as Deep seajinyu until Nazjatar. What I am saying is that its possible another snake race could show up in a future expansion that is like this one and end up being an allied race. It could even be an improvement over the former. Most would argue that the Jinyu in Nazjatar look better than the ones in MOP. Its also kind of like how Venthyr show up in Shadowlands and there was Sanlayn in the past.
I personally liked the Jinyu better, and much like with Ogres theyâre already technically part of the Alliance.
I hope when the Sethrak reenter the story they just use them. Preferably with them focused on working with the Alliance.
Though I wouldnât be super unhappy if it went the way of the ankoan. At least then weâd have something close.
House Slytherin. Green and Silver baby.
Note too self though. If Sethrak become playable, we need to start campaigning for eelthrak
And Sethrak are based off a group of nomads. So I highly doubt it would be strange for another tribe, clan, etc of Sethrak to be hanging out in other areas of Azeroth.
Nice additions it will make to WoWâs aquatic races.
Thats a good point actually. not finding them wandering place especially now that theyâre one single people again would be odd.
The data mining has begun!
Keeping my eyes peeled for anything Sethrak!
Iâm prepared to be sorely disappointed but boy am I SO excited too.
Thereâs a new model for Hakkar! Evil snake loa is at least inching in the right direction.
And considering the subject of the novel coming out this summer and the datamined lines Iâve seen so far, loa are going to be a big focus.
That is exciting. Even if it doesnât directly pertain to Sethrak. Or⌠at least the Volâdun Sethrak. We never know, there really might be some other groups of Sethrak like weâve discussed before!
Either way I hope to see more on lady Sethraliss as well!
Go go gadget snake loas!
Well this is a serpent of a kind. Hakkar apparently. Quick question. Anyone know how to use a spoiler tag on the forums?
I have no idea but his new model looks amazing!
Very properly Wind Serpent ish as he should be. Also reminiscent of Naga. A good upgrade of his original model.
I wonder if Sethraliss will get a model update. Or if a serpent model will be added. Since sheâs a giant snake. Likely a cobra/viper hybrid.
All wonderful stuff so far. Hakkar getting some updates is good.
Hopefully weâll find more shortly, though Ardenweald isnât in the first major pushes for testing. Likely more will be added down the line.
