It is what it is, books have been part of the story since before even wow released with stuff like Rise of the Horde or Lord of the Clans.
Do you have any other suggestion how the sethrak could potentially join?

My scenario could still work, but with the void affecting the remnants of the faithless.

I’m a big fan of remnants of the Faithless renaming themselves the Remnant and joining the Alliance. >.>
Horrible holes in that story idea as it is.
In mine though they’d have the Devoted be Horde and the Faithless Remnants be Alliance. A nice little switch up. Peaceful going Horde warlike going Alliance.

This is assuming that blizzard would ever do neutral races again. If blizzard is going towards a PVE coop based way of play, as is speculated in the future, it would save them time to just have them on one side because you’d still be able to play with the other faction.
All ideas are ideas at the end of the day, though. Just because it doesn’t align with yours doesn’t make it a bad idea.

Personally I don’t see blizzard going towards a “factionless” form of play and I hope they do not forgoe a possibly good narrative for a race just because they’re afraid of their own incapabilities at sorry writing like they were for pandaren. (a problem they made for themselves by just not putting any effort in and nothing else.)
Honestly though, I don’t think they’ll ever do another neutral race really.
I just hope.

Sethraks would do the game great good if they were a playable race.
right now the game needs positive things to be done and a new race would be a very positive thing.
Especially if it’s the Sethraks, who were as well liked as vulperas.

Just saw that they’re releasing customization options for Nightborne and LF Draenei in 9.1.5, so maybe they are listening to these sorts of requests.
So here’s hoping.

The game urgently needs something to bring the exiles back.
New races and cosmetic appearances for another races are something much faster and easier to do and that many of those who left or are thinking of leaving, have been talking about for years…
And it’s one of the resources Blizzard can use “to create” something new in a short amount of time.

I am also excited for new Druid forms. So far only travel forms. But still excited.
I have hardly given up hope. I also continue to advocate for playable Sethrak on Twitter.
I will also continue to keep an eye out for anything potentially new that is Sethrak related.
Wedding is 2 months away so I am doing a lot of juggling.

Can we finally get racially unique land travel forms for core races that aren’t night elves? It’s like Blizzard thinks tauren/troll/worgen players want to be discount night elves when they play druid.

Honestly aside from the Kul’tirans and Zandalari I think all the druid forms need some touch ups. (the standard ones)
