This has been one of the “other” races I have wanted to see converted into an allied race for a long while (I would also like to see Gnolls). Tons of great information, nice work!
would this be for alliance, horde, or both>?
I see Saberon as potential for any of those options, though a lot really depends on how they’re handled. I think there are more arguments for them joining the Horde that make sense, though that is my own personal opinion.
As I said before, I’m fine with them on either faction. Nowadays I do lean them more towards the Horde, where I use to lean more towards the Alliance, but I’d be happy with either. I just want them playable and I’d be purrfectly content.

I can see them going to either side but they fit far better and easier I think with the Horde at least at the current time.

what would be the racial benefit?

A new month means a purrfect opportunity for some in-game suggestions of races we want to see!
So each month, I send in in-game suggestions for each race I want to see playable along with their respective megathreads. While it is far from a guarantee of seeing our dreams come true, I do think every little bit helps, and doing it monthly is reasonable.

Hopefully, our feedback will be considered with an open mind. Especially since Saberon did come with us back to Azeroth. May as well give them a home on that character creation screen!

Been looking over Dragonflight stuff as it has been revealed, and so far, nothing really Saberon related has been shown.
Seems like as we go through expansions, there is some sort of nagging feeling in my mind with how some Botani are loose and wandering Kalimdor. It’s still a worrying thought of what they’ve been up to and could happen, especially seeing how a lot of time has passed since then. I’m wondering if we’ll ever see any of that in the future.
And of course I’m wondering about the Saberon that came with us also. Maybe we’ll see more of both them and the Botani if we ever have to deal with the Lightbound again in the future, which seems like a possibility.
I still think Saberon for the Horde and Arakkoa for the Alliance would be a great combo if we had an expansion dealing with the Lightbound, though I’m sure something could be done with some of the Botani as well. Granted, in my own personal opinion, I still see them more as antagonists, but I’d be fine if they became playable somehow. I’m also not sure if such an expansion would have us return to AU Draenor or not, but a Lightbound invasion in general could be interesting if done right.
While I don’t really expect anything Saberon related in Dragonflight, I’ll be sure to help report any findings if there happens to be. Until then, I’ll continue to hope to see them playable someday!

Maybe it’s a blessing we didn’t get saberon since, going by the dracthyr, Blizz’ current race designing devs would just make them all various thicknesses of male.
