well… maybe in 11.2.7
Or 11.2.5.
That would be a neat twist.
So slight spoilers for anyone that hasn’t done the new raid, but Midnight lists Salhadaar as one of the bosses that will appear in the Void Spire raid.
I can easily see K’areshi involvement in making sure the fallen king is permanently dealt with.
I mean, if no one really remembers in BFA, they introduced new allied races mid-expansion. I’d say that just because something hasn’t been announced yet doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t happen.
Ethereals could still end up playable. New classes could be introduced. The story could change. Anything could really happen at any point in time.
I’m still kind of pinning the gleeful glamour is proof that the race will actually be playable. I guess there are still some final animations and touch ups that need to be finished first, as it does seem they are using a modified custom skeleton, instead of something like an elf skeleton as they usually do.
I do wonder if they could be a 11.2.5 feature.
Which makes me wonder if the Midnight panel would have a brief preview for 11.2.5 and 11.2.7 beforehand.
Ethereal NPC(?) in the player housing neighborhood.
At the very least it gives us a feel how armor and transmog could work with playable Ethereals.
Been waiting for playable ogres since before WoW even launched, so I can wait a little longer for ethereal. Maybe one day.
It’s been awesome guys. Even through Ethereals aren’t going to be playable atleast with their armor sets and etc we get to be like them.
As we go into Midnight, Blizzard confirmed that Dragonflight will remain the set path leveling path, with The War Within as remaining the 70-80 experience, and then Midnight after.
Should we get an Ethereal reveal, my leveling plans shall be The Burning Crusade - The War Within - Midnight.
There is a toy that , for a short time, replaces everyone with ethereals, old and new models. Npcs that use the new models even use the same voice lines.
The Spanish World of Warcraft community AlterTime was lucky enough to have two more recorded interviews at Gamescom. In one of them, the following was disclosed:
When the light answered Liadrin’s prayer, a call went out to many, many people. We saw the Army of Light respond, but it has also been heard by players and many others, including some creatures you might not expect. There’s at least one in particular which is pretty baffled to be there, and doesn’t know quite what happened… but is still there.
It does make me wonder if any of the K’areshi could of heard that call.
I was doing a few world quests in K’aresh with my rogue, and I used the pickpocket thing to transform into a random ethereal. Seriously, they have great animations, even idle and jumping animations are unique and fluid, unlike most other humanoid npcs that only have basic animations like walking and fighting. I couldn’t test combat animations cause the glyph effect doesn’t work in combat, but yeah, they do have potential. Blizzard put a lot of work on them.
Blizzard please!
Check and see if they have any dances and jokes next time
Is it week 8 yet
Is it week 8 yet
Get in line behind High Elves, Vrykul, Naga and Amani Trolls.
There isn’t a line. Its more a small waiting room where occasionally a Blizzard employee opens a door at one end looks at us all discerningly then leaves without saying anything until one day suddenly a new guy is added and is taken back immediately.
Fixed that.
One more week until gleeful glamour: ethereals.
In slightly related news, Nightborne animations for demon hunters have been stealth completed.
