I’m running a lvl 25 belf mage around Silvermoon and Ghostlands for some kicks before the rework in Midnight. But how do I unlock questing on the Isle of Quel 'Danas? I flew over there from Silvermoon, and was hostile, and the one quest marker I saw was whited out.
The log-on screen says I am in Burning Crusade, but not really. Do I need to do the Shattered Sun offensive in Chromietime to unlock Quel’Danas questing.
I’m just sort of missing some context on a horde alt. I did the Sunwell raid back in the day, but as Alliance.
I remember back in the day the only way to unlock those items was to go into the capital city of burning Crusade and then chat with the NPC before going through the portal. I’m sure it will be unlocked for regular world flying during midnight but during the current expansion as it stands the only way to get there would be level 60 and go through the portal in outlands.

Yeah I saw a portal in Shattrath City on one of my alliance alts, but don’t know how it would play out for my horde belf. The only info I could find online was about the Shattered Sun Offensive, so think I’m going to do Outlands timewalking.
I did this content so long ago with a big break in between that never occurred to me that Quel’Danas would be Alliance controlled, as it’s next to Silvermoon.
Same portal works for both sides. It may be a Draenei standing by it, but they are a neutral faction. But you have to be at least lvl 60 (or possibly 70) in Shattrath and go through it. Think of it like the Timeless Isle of Burning Crusade. Endgame Season 4 Daily zone with a dungeon and a raid.
