Unlocking Mechagon on Alts

So am I forced to do Nazjatar questline on all my alts to unlock Mechagon? Or can I just get summoned there to do the dungeon

it takes an actual 10 minutes at most. You’d be almost done by the time you finished writing this.

So flying there (yes its possible) does not unlock the dungeon? I know for quests and dailies one needs to do the full intro. I would have thought the dungeon was different though.

Takes a lot longer to go through Naz and Mech intro quests.

You’re drunk. You walk in, walk around a little, they interrupt everything to send you to mecha. Have you done these?

Yeah with flying too. Took about 1-2 hours to go from starting Nazjatar to unlocking Mechagon. Took about 35-40 quests to finally get here.

Now I gotta do that on 11 more characters can’t wait.

While if you didn’t acquire the essence quests, then yeah it would take a bit of time not so many quests as you think, you find the friend, which is 2 quests and kill 15 naga and you’re off to mechagon. The return quests are what’s short.
That aside from what I remember on PTR you’re able to be summoned to mechagon, but you won’t be able to get any quests, and rares and such won’t be marked as that. I’m pretty sure you were able to enter the instance still though.
To be honest why wouldn’t you at least acquire the essences and intro to mechagon though? I did for a few alts, just so I could get an oscillator each day for just collecting a few chests. While they aren’t active toons at the moment, they can do a 5 minute trip to get later ranks of essences in time.

Done it 5-6 times now. It takes a somewhat longer then 10 minutes. Around 30 if Your around 390+ ilvl.

But opening all the Nazjatar quests takes a while anyway

Free gear though? Assume you could still get summoned though if you don’t.

hes working on alts that are 390 level, that isn’t my experience with 3 of my alts at least so i guess theres the difference. Also probably you kinda suck if it takes that long, but maybe its just ilvl

I dunno bud… Not sure how the Alliance one is but in the Horde one Oculeth holds you in a bubble for like…5 mins.
Feels like an eternity man…

Also the RP event to get the map to Mechagon feels like an age too.

The actual content you play doesn’t take long, but there is a hell of a lot of waiting :joy:

I get that sure, its just of all the things to be complaining about when we ofc had to level through the same 3 zones prior to even get to 120 and do the same stuff for an entire year during BoD, why of all things would a simple and short intro quest suddenly be skippable? Especially when it takes almost no time?

There is plenty to complain about but this is getting to ridiculous levels.

Oh yeah, it’s pretty minimal really. If you get to that stage in the first place it’s worth taking the extra 20-30 mins to finish it considering the time you already put in to get to 120 anyway.

Would like the map sequence to be skippable though. That would be nice.

Argus basically let alts walk right in during Legion from what I remember. You only had to quest if you wanted to open up new missions and stuff.

Not sure why they didn’t add an option like that for Nazjatar and Mecha.

They’ve made many of these intros skippable once you complete them on a character. It’s not really that shocking that people would ask why there isn’t one for these areas.

I’ve farmed herbs/ore in Nazjatar, but I have NOT spent even 1 hour doing quests there. There is NO WAY that I have done 35 quests in Nazjatar. Maybe I have done 10 quests there, total. Yet I’ve unlocked and visited Mechagon.

It was literally the only new content to do for 2 entire weeks? what is it he’s rushing off to do now that he couldn’t take 10 minutes for at some point prior to now? This argument holds more weight when the content isn’t just fresh out of the box.
