Hi I’m a returning player.
Haven’t played WOW since WOTLK. Got back into it and have leveled a few new characters to lv.50. I’m curious about how to unlock dual specs / talent trees?
I was under the impression we were able to set equipment, talents and action bars as presets and toggle between them but cannot seem to find this feature?
I don’t know if this is even an available feature in the game or if I’m confusing separate features. Would appreciate any help including how to unlock dual specs?

There isn’t duel spec anymore you can just change from all your specs for free.

You can set gear lists from you character plans, one of the tabs at the top right is equipment sets. You can set them to change automatically when you swap spec.
I mean other than secondary stats you don’t need to worry to much about that correct? Like I know most of my gear has agi and int (although the int is grayed out as my current spec doesn’t use it)
Trinkets, jewelry, and weapons are the biggest ones you have to watch for when swapping specs.
Some trinkets are spec agnostic, but some have abilities that only work for melee, caster, or healers.
While jewelry isn’t technically spec-specific, the fact that it has only secondary stats and not primary ones means that if your specs have different secondary stat priorities, they’ll be important to swap.
Finally, the biggest one is weapons. Caster weapons and physical damage weapons have completely different stat setups and don’t translate. Using the wrong one will significantly hamper your play. (Physical dps weapons have higher dps, but much lower main stat. Caster weapons have lower dps, but much higher main stat.)
I figured that about the weapons but not the jewelry pieces and forgot trinkets. Thank you for the info. One of the reason I post in here and not GD
