looks like “Operation: Mechagon - The Mechoriginator” Quest is required to be completed on alliance character to unlock the achievement on alliance side, which requires revered on the alliance character to unlock the quest.
completed achievements on horde:

You can complete the achievements as Horde, but still need an Alliance alt to do the unlock quest.
You can do it on horde. It’s just bugged right now. I’ve done it on my hunter here and can get the quest to start the chain on my Alliance character but the NPC you have to turn the first quest into in Borealis won’t spawn.

I am not grinding that rep all again and even then I don’t much care for them. Unlocking them for the sake of unlocking them. Since my raider is waiting to do two more visions runs I get to level my fox until they fix this.
im on the quest urgent care(on human) to but the quest giver kelsey(iirc) is phased.
on the board in the embassy in stormwind it shows the achievements required and it shows “the mechagonian threat” achiev as incomplete the missing compontent is “Operation: Mechagon - The Mechoriginator”

Exactly. If you weren’t able to do it on Horde you wouldn’t even have gotten the Urgent Care quest. Without the Mechagon achievement unlocking Alliance side the quest should not have been available. It’s just bugged.
i want to unlock mechagnome, might want to play one in shadowlands, once that is out good luck finding a group that will want to do mechagon dungeon
is kelsey phased because the achievement is considered incomplete on alliance?
We don’t know what is causing her to be phased or why the achievement isn’t showing up alliance side but you can still get the quest. Hopefully they find the bug soon. I’ve been looking forward to Mechagnomes myself. Finally have a reason to play a Gnome and it won’t let me!
