Blizzard the Shadowlands looks pretty good to me I would like to try it with a Dark Iron Death Knight. I am not however going to level a character to max level and then go back to grind old content just to do it. Either unlock the allied races or let us pay to unlock the race we want on the store. Having tons of fun playing Classic in the mean time thank you for making it!

Dark Iron are one of the easiest allied races to unlock, and it’s… Technically current content. You can do it right now. It’ll take like two weeks at most if you do all the rep sources.

You can essentially hit Exalted just by levelling and doing the War Campaign and a few extra things.
I did it by accident on my Death Knight. Didn’t even know it.

Just got DiD this morning. Just need Kul’Tirns(8k out of 21k). Then I have them all unlocked.

I leveled a Tauren paladin to 120 with full heirlooms it took way longer than two weeks. I did not have maghar unlocked in two weeks of play at 120 and still don’t have them unlocked that’s BS.

Emissaries give 1500 rep. Weekly islands quest gives 2500. War campaign gives a ton. There are TONS of WQs on the opposite faction’s continent to do at any given time. Warfronts, assaults, etc…
There’s tons of ways to get Honorbound/7th Legion rep, moreso than any other faction that has an allied race attached.

I don’t like them being locked behind rep but, i got my DID with out even trying to. There’s also plenty of time before the next patch so you can probably get it done. I will also say that I felt like the horde AR’s were more difficult to unlock than alliance’s.
I just literally said that I would not do that.

I’m busy every second of my WoW life preparing for the day I face the villain Kel’Thuzad. I don’t have time to do that.
I want to enter the Shadowlands as a Dark Iron Fire Death Knight on Team Bolvar. That is my condition if Blizzard wants me to play that game.
Which means you don’t actually want a Dark Iron DK that bad.

It’s ok to have goals to work towards in an MMO, and unlocking Allied Races isn’t particularly time consuming.
Maybe you aren’t there yet, but you pretty quickly get to the point in classic where there’s not much to do but raid log for the ~2-3 hours it takes to clear MC + Ony. Plenty of time to knock out some 7th Legion emissaries.

Ok, i get you, you want your dark iron DK, and you said you are willing to pay for it and you don’t want to level a 120 alt. You could faction change for it and only have to grind the rep and not the levels. That’s the only solution i can give you to your problem. Everyone else on this post seems completely fine with the grind even if they don’t like it.
