Please I beg of you, makes no sense for us to grind to unlock when previous races were available immediately. I want to create a zanadalari troll very much
How else will they artificially inflate the games length? Id not be surprised if they started giving 1day cooldowns between levels and only allow one instance run a day including world instances. Just to make ruin everyones fun even more.
I’m sure this thread will convince them.
Not going to happen. I remember a time when Blizzard had the stance that they didnt want people lingering in old content, they wanted people to move on and go back and do the things they wanted to solo when they felt like it.
Now that they use the “time played metric” to measure success… well all that tedious rep grinding to get flight in old expansions or get the races, that just makes the time played metric go up.
They get to pretend that people are engaging in content when they aren’t actually making any content.
Its why they went with hiding mounts in the loot boxes for paragon rep in Legion instead of putting them on the vendors where they belong. Artificially inflating the time played is great for investors but terrible for us and its a practice that wont go away anytime soon.
So unlock it.
They already said you’d still have to unlock it. They’ve said this since allied races went in. It is unlikely to change, you could have unlocked it many times over by now.
Unlocking it would have taken you about 3 percent of the time that you getting to ilevel 427 took.
Not to mention if you’re playing Horde you should just be able to unlock it without doing much other than the normal quest lines.
Unlocking Kul Tirans was easy, Zandalari should be about the same.
Just be glad it’s enough of a time sink that they’re probably not removing the option to even get them next expansion.
Do da story. Help out ya king. Knoe da reason why we be allyin wit da horde. Come on now dont be lazy mon.
Kul Tirans, which I haven’t fully unlocked yet, have so far taken far more questing than unlocking Zandalari.
How about no? If you want a thing, go get it. Other than having taken a break and returning to the game recently, there’s no excuse for not having earned the requirements passively.
don’t give them ideas please.
I am sure some one was not happy at the HQ on release day worlds first to 120 happened in (what?) less than 5 hours.
rest of this…I’d at least make the legion races full open. Sending assumed boosted 120 to 130 to run 110 argus content would just be stupid really.
there is lord illidan with speech “this is a most fieresome enem………dude let me finish before you 1 shot please.”
Inb4 I earned my races!..so did I. the argus rotations are crap. Rep off the dungeons is crap since no tabards for legion rep.
Where you make your money, well rep, for core races with real tabards. You kill all trash those +3 reps add up after a few runs really.
No, If I proceed to unlock, it’ll only encourage this disgusting behaviour of gating future races behind grinds. I also would’ve to level a horde to 120 then grind the rep to unlock
You still have like a year before the next expansion is released. Even playing as casually as possible, that seems like plenty of time…
Get over it?
Look, here’s a couple of problems with your ideas. First, and foremost, you’re comparing Allied Races to Core Races. They’re not the same thing. You tell me an expansion where we had eight races given to us half-way through the expansion for free. I’ll wait.
Second problem with your post, the entire point behind Allied Races is to know the story and earn them as allies. So yes! You will have to level a Horde to 120 and unlock them. That’s the point!
It really isnt hard just takes a little commitment. Kultiran rep and unlock was way more time consuming. Even with the 10% rep buff alliance get.
I’m not sure I believe you.
Bf, dranei, worgen etc were available immediately. They simply added “allied” as an excuse to waste subscription time to go through grind
Up, nope. Not what I asked. Name an expansion where eight races were all introduced at the same time for free. You can’t. Cause it’s never happened before.
Core Races are different than Allied Races. You want them, go put in the work.
Then let me do it, stop putting stupid time gates to make it take longer than it should
Unlocking Zandalari didn’t require any side quests; everything was relevant to the main story of the zone. It also required just a scenario. I feel like I did not have to do any extra work.
For Kul Tirans, I had to go back and do zones over again because I somehow had missed half of Stormsong Valley (despite completing the main quest) and 1/4th of Tiragarde Sound (again, had already completed the main story). Then I had to do 3 freakin dungeons along with a quest chain+scenario… and I’m not even finished with the unlock, yet (I stopped right before the Nazmir invasion).
I’ll unlock them eventually, but since I have 0 desire to play as one, my drive to unlock them is pretty much 0 in itself.
