Came home and fired up the computer and saw that in as a pending update.
It downloaded the 18gig of wow beta, installed it in the root directory, but doesn’t show up as accessible in the launcher.
What gives? Did i just get catfished by blizzard or was it not supposed to DL?
They meant to send it to me instead, sorry.
Try restarting your launcher.
Tried it. Only things under the in development header are PTR classic and live.
If I go into the wow program file on the hard drive I can navigate to the beta directory and launch the 9.0 version of the wow client, but when I log in, it shows the realms in red, and says incompatible and promptly disconnects.

I have a Druid named Dyad (only play 2 specs) and you are the first person I have ever heard use that word, you just don’t know how impressed I am.
Now you better get beta for real! 
Do you use the beta version of the launcher? We had someone see the same thing but could only see the SL Beta option when they swapped it back to the normal version of the Bnet launcher.
Yea I actually like that layout a lot more.
I thought of that also and swapped back with no such luck. Thanks though for the suggestion.

I had to restart my launcher in order to see it…just now saw it so maybe restart your launcher if you haven’t?
