Unit Frame Mouseover Casting, have you try it?

Anyone gave it a shot to use the new “feature” of Unit Frame Mouseover Cast? Because personally i have been trying but i can’t seem to get it to work.

If you got it working, what you do? To my knowledge it should make your spells work like a [@mouseover] macro where you just put the mouse cursor over a unit frame (NPC, Enemy, Ally, etc…) and your spell should just be cast.

I have tried to use it.

Currently I have alt tied to self-casting and shift tied to switching between 2 action bars. I haven’t been able to get it to work without selecting ctrl, alt, or shift.

It’s unfortunate, because I don’t want to change my modifier keybinds, and frankly they’re too far away from my keybinds for spells to be effective.

Based on the way the interface option is presented, you could:

  • use no modifier and have it as default (which is what I want)
  • use alt and then cast a spell while hovering
  • use ctrl and then cast while hovering
  • use shift and then cast while hovering
Ultimately, the only option I would go for is “None”, but it doesn’t work even when I have the option to enable mouseover enabled. It would be nice if we could use the click-bind page to assign keys as well as mouse buttons.

What I don’t want is to hover somebody’s 3D body and cast a spell on them, I just want to cast it while hovering unit frames. I thought this would be my “salvation”. :frowning:

Hope it gets addressed soon!
