See, I like the 25 yard range, but yeah this is a very real concern. Without it, personally I doubt I’d end up using hover as much. And being closer to the target utilizing hover makes me feel cool, like bobbing and weaving between attacks.
But then there’s fights like Nymue, and you’re basically just a melee because of the awkward range requirements. To say nothing of the pain of being preservation during that fight.
Personally would like to see some sort of like, reverse Norgannons Sagacity. Like, casting disintegrate or pyre under certain circumstances builds a stacking buff that extends your range on specific spells/abilities up to 35 yards or so. Hover gives an instant full stack of it.
To be more on topic however, really not sure whats to be done about the CC. Personally would think its best to remove as a racial and turn into evoker specific, replacing with….something. Otherwise giving them extended CDs and/or shared CDs would be my immediate gut thought.
Same thing happened to me lol, I didn’t start playing Dev until end of S3 start of S4 but when we did Sark the range group was like “alrighty everyone stack on (spriest) marker and rotate with her” and I was like… but I can’t reach
