Unintended Bear and Cat Forms (Part 1)

Not a usual forum user. Throwing my voice out there for when Blizzard inevitably scrapes the responses here for their data on how they proceed with this.

I completed Mage Tower back in Legion. I would be more than happy for them to release these appearances again on the basis that they are earnable. Not given for free or put in the shop.

I would also be content with recolours that fit the class theme. Fel bear and Runebear do not fit the class theme, and therefore, are not acceptable substitutes.

In a perfect world, you would do what you did for Boomkins. Release one model but make it fully customisable, but I have no hope in that ever being a possibility.

It might be nice if Blizz created a poll about this issue, so we might actually see at least SOME kind of real number one way or the other, without all the bickering.

I personally would like to see the forms come back in some fashion, be it original or new ones using those models.

It didn’t prove anything.

Not in objective fact, nor public opinion.

It might’ve proven it too you.

Subjective. I think a couple of them look better.

Okay so you’re agreeing with me?

Legion remix is new, but remix isn’t new. It happened couple years ago.

Nope eyes are dry, maybe too try in fact.

Not from my experience.

But you do not have the apple. In this case we are talking about the MT appearances. They will not be had or at least kept.

Relative numbers are relative.

Most elections are insanely close all things considering and it is frustrating to me that 1/3rd of a country wants one leader, 1/3rd wants another, and the last third doesn’t even vote. And the winner is whatever leader choice narrowly comes ahead by a mere few percentages. But that’s neither here nor their.

We’re talking about the 700 people who have made their voice heard via upvotes on this thread. For the election analogy the 5 million players who haven’t given an upvote have abstained and therefor aren’t counted either way.

Or just give us more forms.

But yes I do play druid a lot less than I did but there is a lot of issues going into that not just the druid forms.

Doesn’t mean I don’t want the class to have more stuff it was my original main and the class that made me fall in love with wow. Back way before transmog the idea of a shapeshifter class was so cool and to this day is very uncommon in mmos or games in general.

I haven’t done a count but I’ve gotten the impression that quite a few do, perhaps even the majority of those active in this thread.

That doesn’t make it better lol.

I pointed out how you did. Now please explain where I did.

Agreed

This topic is proof

Still entirely new sets

Glad we agree

Doesnt change the facts

Still bought an apple.

Exactly, same with “upvotes”

Exactly what we’ve been saying

I see the opposite.

Actually something we agree on

Maybe Im blind but I cant see a model change in the priest CM set to the class hall set. Otherwise the shoulders and helms are changed for the other sets but the rest of the pieces are just recolored. Not quite “entirely new” from my perspective

What about them?

First time eh?

Which is more selfish, telling someone to move on, or perpetually acting like a petulant child crying that your neighbor gets a big wheel but you don’t get a big wheel?

On that we agree

You can’t see weapon appearances in Bear or Cat form, and that’s never stopped Blizzard from designing great looking Druid weapons or players from collecting them. If they’d handled it that way from the start, no one would’ve cared it would’ve been consistent with every other Druid weapon in the game up to that point except for the fire kitty staff (which was eventually changed)

Locking character customization options behind a time-limited event is just bad game design. Do you see nearly as many people complaining that they can’t get their Mage Tower weapon appearances for non-Druid classes?

And comparing this to the Demon Hunter customisations is a false equivalency those players aren’t missing a huge chunk of options they would otherwise have if Blizzard hadn’t made a bad decision to tie character customisation options to a limited time event.

I agree with you for the most part but I don’t think recolours are a suitable solution because it doesn’t address the underlying problem which is that there are unobtainable character customisation options for Druid while no other class in the game does.

Bring it back blizz let the mage towers ring once more from the era of legion WOOOO!

Yea… it’s been a divisive issue even before Legion ended.

They made the prize for a hard challenge too important. You got folks who worked hard and want to preserve their achievement, and others who feel it’s too big a change in the game to stay locked up for a decade.

It’s a tough issue. Really thought Bliz would take advantage of “going back to Legion” in the rehash to clean up the issue. Instead they poured gasoline on it and dropped a match. I’m wondering if they’re going to go back to making forms in RootLands™ and stirred up all this dust as a way of priming the pump for new forms.

Dunno. Hope they do something. It’s just toxic having a changeling class, where the best 10% of the shape shifting shapes are reserved for an achievement that hasn’t been available to folks for a decade. Segregating the class into folks into haves and have nots, just grows resentment and frustration. It’s just a really unhealthy situation.

It’s also said how few skins they’ve given out to Druids that 10% are still locked away. They add dozens of beasts with each expansion, but they only give a small handful to Druids very sparingly, as if they’re against giving the class too many options.

The new Pango mob coming in Midnight would be a solid alternative for bear form:

And while the new lynxes aren’t very flashy, they’d still be better than the default cat form:

Basically anything to expand the options, I’d love for them to bring back the MT appearances, but they also need to just do more than the bare minimum with Druid shapeshift forms.

And here you are with a real banger of a contribution.

Likewise. Absolutely riveting.

You don’t have anything you didn’t get carried for. To motorpool with you.

I forgot how people behave on the wow forums, so let me specify for anyone hyperfocusing.

They haven’t made forms, that arent remotely comparable on how good the MT forms look.

There’s actually a few forms most can agree that are actually pretty neat, but none have the sparkle effect. Which is the main reason for the frustration here.

Uh Oh. I Didn’t Chase You Off Did I?

:scream:

Exactly, there is a reason other classes dont ask for their magetower weapon skins the same as druids ask for their forms. It’s clearly very different because of the very limited number of forms druid have and how they spend nearly all of their active game time with no transmog.

We have a couple dozen more forms than any other class. Forms =/= Transmog. Forms are considerably more impactful.

Thus:

Is true. And why what we do have is weighted more heavily against what we don’t have. We have fel bear, be honest- would you be happy with fel sparkle cat? Sounds like a fair compromise to me.

Im not the person you were asking but fel cat would be sick. Honestly we should have a fel version for all forms at this point to match our fel bear and fel owl. I also just really like the sparkle of the MT skin so if I could have that in anyway Id be happy

Lol Blizz getting absolutely bodied in the likes ratio.

Still think they should’ve done legion remix specific recolors
