it’s relevant when one side claims that the other side is full of trolls and upvoting themselves. Which in some cases sure possibly, but the other side is exactly that and I know that because of this person. Not in this thread specificly but about the very same topic.
People can discuss and argue but there is no right or wrong in opinions and if one side is so gnarly about theirs being right and just spam spree people on ignore to be in their bubble, openly that is just weird.
there are 29 cat forms and 32 bear forms you can use on a single druid. 33 cats and 36 bears if you got all mt ones. 200 seems off even with the travel forms, maybe all races combined
It’s just not nice. If someone does not agree with an opinion they can do just that. No need to put words into peoples mouth or be like the above mentioned. I want new druid forms, I just dont want the old thing back, especially so after them saying no 5 times, walking back then they might aswell release every item in wows history.
I am not even not benefitting from it either. I dont have all weapons, but new shiny and new design would be better. I dont get the drought of it. The only thing we got since bfa until now are mounts and titles from challenges or limited content, amor and weapons only if you want to count in pvp 1800 / 2100 rating.
Both sides are illogical to an extent the same as they are logical. People played by the rules and they want the company to stay true to them, which they do to this day. It is unfortunate that they are not to other specifics that are mentioned countless of times, but breaking it twice should not open the can to keep on breaking it.
Remember, three of each “form” are recolors. I can make a recolor easily using the texture library Blizzard has on hand. It’s not rocket surgery. It’s honestly incredibly lazy. Even if I have to manually do texture painting, it’s at maximum a lazy workday where I go get coffee and snacks and talk a little too much.
I made some recolors of the MT forms when I was bored with my own tools. I mean if we can do that they can do that. They just dont for some reason. They also didnt give us all sabers / owls / stag variants from the DF zone either. Some are missing 1 color like the brown owl. Why? good question
That is a good question. I mean, they use the same skeleton, the same rigging, the same animation set, and ostensibly the same model for 4 of each base “form”.
The honest truth is that it’s not really a lot of work. I’ve made it clear previously that I don’t consider recolors to be separate skins, because, why should I? The look and feeling are different, but when talking about “forms”, the 200 above is a laughable response.
I saw all the owl variations they made for the emerald dream patch and I thought we were going to be able to customize our flight form like we can our moonkin form
Many of us druids, both old and new, are focused on this thread.
It isn’t an understatement to say: “This is very important to us.”
For those who want to keep their uniquely earned & special relics limited – to those who seek an opportunity to experience the joys of wow’s history in present content – and to those who may already have the old appearances… but are simply ready for a new challenge to tackle. All of us are invested in this matter.
While I am a new forum user here, I have been active in these threads since this blue post. From what I’ve seen, these are my thoughts:
The majority of our community is in favor of there being new tints/variations/colorations of these sparkling forms. And, based on the recent posts made – it appears that much of our community recognizes that no other forms released have a similar sparkle effect.
Another portion of our community is interested in having the opportunity to go back and earn previously locked content, in general (this includes those already with the forms, who are pushing for others to get a chance to get these forms & those who would support a Classic Merge for appearances).
And another portion of our community seeks to prevent these forms from being obtainable again, in any form. Since they enjoy their exclusivity (this does NOT include those who would support a Legion Classic Merge).
Building on this, I believe that everyone would benefit from there being a new challenge that included 4 new and equally sparkling kitty variations. Along with other class/spec rewards – in general.
This would be a win-win. Players who already completed their objective would have a new challenge to tackle – along with those who hadn’t. And… if released in retail: it would also create a new form that was synonymous with skill. Since it would be a more recent challenge rather than how many years they’ve been around for.
If such rewards were released – they could still consider releasing the legacy skins of weapons… for example: why not consider making each one have a low drop chance? Or even better yet: a challenge someone must complete X number of times to earn the legacy skins. That would greatly increase the difficulty of earning these skins while promoting investment in our skill.
and… even with this all said. I also believe that there is something to be said with allowing an eventual appearance merge between Retail and Classic – since obtaining these items in a Classic format preserves their historical context.
Either way: I argue it’s time to receive some sort of insight regarding when we will have a chance at obtaining comparably sparkling forms (if not the originals).
I feel like blizzard keeping their word and keeping a small fraction of things rare is a good thing and gives reason to keeping people engaged in the content when tis relevant.
You
You say “cannot” but have yet to prove anything other than “because i said so”
A market that sells certain things isnt working as intended? LOL
Your opinion doesnt change the fact
Your arguments
Its proof that people will click “blizzard bad” every time. How many of those 500 do you see actually participating?
Including Druids. Go figure
You aren’t here just to whine?
And three of the four MT forms are recolors. Thus youre missing a whole…2 by your logic
One side: I want whaa
Other side: We want blizzard to remain true to their word and keep this one thing rare.
What about the people who have them whow ants others to have them?
This would be a strawman if you put even 1% of it instead of making your opponent out to be a literal baby.
Literally used the words selfish.
Belief does not create reality.
Not objective rality anyways.
if you can’t classic 1 of 3 has returned.
If you count recolors 2/3 have returned.
If you count none of those than yes under your restrictive paramaters that have no rhyme or reaosn to them other than you pick them because they benefit your argument the number would be zero if counting only retail and not recolors.
As flawed as all of that is even if I accepted it for the sake of argument the lack of precedence doesn’t mean it can’t happen.
No AOTC mount came back before legion remix.
No official classic realms existed before blizzard made them.
The lack of precedence doesn’t mean it cannot be created.
New things happen all the time.
That is an opinion you’re entitled to have.
I disagree with you strongly.
Though I see where you are coming from with
Fomo can attract players and keep people active. I play genshin impact and that game is huge on fomo. Doesn’t mean I like it and most fomo things return eventually with some exceptions.
So fomo isn’t a deal breaker to me obviously but I prefer games without fomo. To be fair genshin impact was built from the ground up with fomo in mind. It’s almost like real life with how frequently things change it feels like time is passing just like int he real world and events come and go so if you weren’t there, you werent there.
But wow was not built that way.
I think bringing these items back can also keep people engaged. Especially bringing something back occasionally rather than all the time (like how current mage tower works).
For example you think limited time things incentivizes people to play correct? But the mage tower already did that job back in legion. It is no longer doing that job now. So bringing it back would not hurt.
It could be a thing where there is a 10 year wait when time limited things make a limited return. Like some of the TCG stuff. Many people still don’t have them because their was a short/limited window and required specific steps to get them.
Couldn’t that be a compromise? It would keep it rare.
I have not cried. Odd thing to randomly accuse me of and again is not conductive to a productive conversation.
And you have? You haven’t proven that accounts are actually bought and sold at all. If there even is a website doing that it’s almost certainly a scam.
If a market sells an apple and I buy the apple, I lost money, the vendor gained money but then the apple instantly turned to dust I am now out of money and got no apple. Those markets exist especially in illegal circles where their is no legal protection.
So it depend son how you define “Working as intended”. It’s certainly working as intended for the seller because they got their money, but it isn’t working as advertised for the buyer.
It was a fact I brought up.
It’s a fact that invalidated the point you were trying to make. It was not an opinion.
From google (not the ai overview): A straw man fallacy is the informal fallacy of refuting an argument different from the one actually under discussion, while not recognizing or acknowledging the distinction. One who engages in this fallacy is said to be “attacking a straw man”.
Since you were not aware of what a strawman is by clear example.
I refuted your arguments because they were based on an unsustainable premise. It was absolutely still your argument and not an unrelated one.
If 500 people think “blizzard bad” and thus want the appearances back then that’s still 500. It could be 100 for “blizzard good” and 600 for “blizzard bad” and that wouldn’t matter. WHY someone votes, or why someone expresses an opinion or preference is irrelevent. Only what it is.
That half the specs can’t see most of the time.
Nope. I’m here to give feedback and have discussions.
You aren’t here to “whine” about people you perceive to be “whining”.
Y’all say this and will constantly ignore the large portion who have some or even all of the MT appearances and who want them to come back.
Many of you have used the term “Selfish” and that’s what they are refering too.
You kind of prove yourself wrong.
You have been moving the goalpost, accusing me of strawmanning inaccurately, created artificial lists to fit your narrative and refused matching variables that would overrule your narrative, dismissed every argument against your premise.
I don’t like to accuse people of arguing in bad faith because that assumes intent but you certainly aren’t the most rational and logical when you are using irrational and arbitrary arguments.
