Unholy pvp self healing

Just looking for some tips on self healing. Is there a way to game death strike mechanics? Is death bolt healing more efficient when it’s available?

PvP Unholy plays entirely differently than PvE Unholy. Always pool your RP since Unholy RP dumps do terrible damage anyway outside of Doomburst “spec” which doesn’t use RP. The only reason you self-heal with Deathcoil is out of desperation, since it requires Lichborne which you want to save for CC.

You have to use an addon or weakaura to track Death Strike properly. The only reason to wait to Death Strike is if you’re RP is low and can’t fit two in a row. You can’t rely on timing your Death Strikes against players because they don’t follow “the rules” that PvE mobs do. If you’re chasing after a player that just chunked you, by the time you get in melee range the “pool” will have decayed anyway.

Use the Insatiable Appetite conduit if you can fit it in.

Nah.

U wot m8?

???

This guy is over complicating this.

You take dam? Press death strike. Taking big dam? Press death strike. However, you also can pair it with another defensive. You AMS defensively? Press death strike. Ibf? Same thing. Zone? Yep if theyre in melee range.

DK has plenty of gap closers to stay on target with the best slow in the game. If you find yourself being kited behind a pillar los’ing your healer while being destroyed, that’s just a bad play, chief.

You have necrotic wounds and warden that can assist your survivability ontop of your other defensives, too.

You take a chunk of damage = press death strike.

death strike is % based, so if you take a large amount of damage in a short period of time means you heal for more.

deathstrike heals for 25% less when used against a PVP target vs a PVE target. if you have the option to deathstrike on an NPC in a PVP situation, do so.

So if I’m on a fight would it be more beneficial to weave deathstrikes between other globals instead hitting 2 deathstrikes together? So I’d take some more Damage before the second strike
