Unholy pets / minions inherit all our stats?

Hello everyone. Does unholy pets / minions inherit our crit, haste, mastery and vers stats? also does using unholy assault skill for the 20 percent buff before summoning our minions give them the 20 percent buff as well? Thanks

Yes.

… At least… I think it still does. It historically has been that way.

For example: Gary scales with old mastery since he did Plague (Nature + Shadow) damage. The more mastery you have, the more shadow damage he does. The more haste you have, the faster he attacks… so on and so forth.

I would be very surprised if something says otherwise.

ok cool. Is summon gargoyle talent competitive with Doomed Bidding or is it basically a dead talent still?

That, I am not qualified to answer.

I am sure Inemia or Biceps (Or someone who plays in Current Content as Unholy DK) can chime in anytime for answers.

AFAIK, Gary has not been doing well.

Yea just looking at how a magus appearing every sudden doom passively would be more consistent and powerful than a very long 3 mins cooldown talent unless it is really super strong. I hope other DK unholy main sees this post and chime in. I am thinking of dipping my toe into unholy because i want to try gargoyle again. Being able to summon a gargoyle looks fun and thematic.

You could probably find a situation where Gargoyle is better, like speed kills in raid but in M+, Magus is more overall value by the end of a dungeon.

Trust me when I say that even if it wasn’t, you don’t want anymore active CDs than Unholy already requires.

I would recommend watching Bicep’s recent Unholy video where he showcases the power of passive DnD wounds and Festering Scythe without running Apocalypse or Vile Contagion.

(Keep in mind that build is better in higher keys and wants a bit more crit than your standard build)
