Unholy is not good in dungeon

Seems to me like the damage is just not there for unholy compared to most specs. Yeah the single target is good but the AoE just requires so much ramp time to even really see good damage, where you have rets, frost dks, rogues, most other melee just go in and able to explode numbers continuously. I know in M+ mobs will stay alive longer but I just don’t think it will make it that much better.

Heroic dungeon mobs are too weak and die too quickly.

Unholy is excellent in extended cleave scenarios. Potentially the best class in the game at it.

This is a non-issue in m+.

This has always been the case for unholy in lower difficulty content. It is a non-issue m+ and raid environments

Mob survial time is non-existant right now. Unholy thrives in sustained combat. It’s fine.

This is the answer

Lower end dungeons mobs will die fast for UH DK to setup and really shine. However M+ or even M0’s Unholy dk aoe is insane… Make sure you spec for it. Understand how to setup for AoE. They’re are several videos out there to show you how to do it.

I recommend practicing on the Cleave dummies.

I remember getting kicked from dungeons playing UH because mobs died so fast that they group thought I was leaching. It was a real problem in the past and one of the main reasons I started to play classes that didn’t thrive on sustain, I just got to tired of being kicked in low level dungeons.

This is the same reason I switch from shadow priest back in the day. Mobs died too fast in lower keys and I needed that gear for the big boy keys

Have to disagree. Have hit 2mil dps quite a few times on multi-pack pulls. I barely know what I’m doing when I play UH since I tank 99% of the time. If I can do that, you can too.

Like any DOT class, they get better dps the longer mobs live.

I’m starting to burst for like 4m on some pulls, with them dying before I hit my apex. Unholy is fine.
