hands down conflict and strife, though maybe memory of lucid dreams for reanimation based builds.
I think it’s probably people just doing much more damage now.

Blue scale heal helps a bit.
What if we are already playing with warmode on and have necrotic strike? Or am i misunderstanding that essence?
you get necrotic strike for free, allowing you to take another pvp talent.

really depends on your pvp playstyle and skill level.
That’s my plan. Lucid minor is really, really good - and combined with Confict and Strife, we can run the core Necrotic Strike + Abom + Transfusion and still have another talent depending on the situation.

CnS isnt just an extra pvp talent.
Strife is a (increasingly powerful per rank) stacking Versatility buff, similar to Versatile Navigation.
Confict doubles the defensive benefit of your total versatility when you are stunned, and then doubles the versatility granted by Strife whenever you purge/interrupt/apply a loss of control effect for 5 seconds.
The combination of an extra talent + potentially massive versatility gains pulls CnS ahead of Lucid, at least in the common consensus.
Personally, I think Lucid is much better on DKs than most - if not all - other classes. A rogue or monk doubling energy regen for 15 sec is meh. A mage doubling mana regen is laughably bad. A DK having runed regenning twice as fast is INSANE.
Lucid is a great fit on DK. Still, I dont think it will beat CnS in PvP.
If Blizz ever allows 2 major essences at once, watch out.

Don’t forget Anti-Magic. I find myself using it as a core pvp talent. Is it worth taking Necromancer Bargain or Lichborne over it?
depends on what you are doing, AMZ is mainly needed if you are going against a caster comp in arena or a caster heavy comp in bgs. there is also a lot of room to tailor your spec to your preferences, no single build is superior to the rest, pick the talent you can do the most with.
