Unfortunatly my Dissabilites made me leave the game

I have had problems with my dexterity for numerous years since I left the army.

Therefor making gaming in Wold of Wacraft sometimes a difficulty.

But this expansion has to be the worst for people with Dissabilities.

The flying quests, the speed cart and so on. It just dont stop.

I didnt mind skipping a few quests to keep gaming and to keep playing WOW.

But this is getting out of hand.

Now i feel I have to abandon more and more quests due to my dissabilites.

I finaly came to the conclusion that this game is not friendly to all people.

Its unfortunate but its life, just sad I only hit 60 2 days ago paid 60$ for the game and 20$ for a sub for a few days.

People will say do your research, but unfortunatly hard to find some comments with people with Dissabilities.

Hope this can help some people in the same boat as me before purchasing WOW.

I don’t even know what you are referring to. There are a lot of people who will choose not to complete parts of the game either because they can’t or just don’t want to. What you are talking about appears to be a very small part of the game. So it sounds to me like you are just over the game for whatever reasons.

If you really like this game, just ignore what you can’t do. There is plenty more out there.

I can sort of relate to this. Bastion triggered headaches at the default gamma levels, and walking into the new BMAH with its crazily disorienting feeling immediately made me want to vomit. Good times.

The world quests. There’s a few in Bastion that involve flying – whether it be the world quest with the lances above and below (the 2-D mario-style quest) or the one with the lion. Additionally, there’s a WQ in Revendreth that deals with wheel barrow racing. It’s kind of difficult the first few times – and even after that, it’s no walk in the park. It requires quick reflexes. If I’m understanding the OP, these are a few examples of what (s)he’s referring to.

Not here to complain, only wanted to help or better inform the people in the same boat as me.

Yo, I would recommend checking out a naga mouse - you get 12+ buttons and you wouldn’t even need to use the keyboard (assuming youre right handed).

anyone have an addon where someone could switch to a gamepad for such activities?

I wasn’t implying that you were. I don’t have a dog in this fight – rather, I’m providing examples of what you’re referring to.

i understand… and ty  i meant no offense

I am deaf
I am still play on wow.
My finger get little rusty.
I am good

I’m sorry to hear about your negative experience. There are definitely world quests that I could see being difficult for some people to complete.

I will highlight that not every WQ needs to be completed for your character to stay as current with narrative or power progression as possible - Callings only require 3-4 of these for that reason, and are up for 3 days. This is part of the benefit behind the design of timegating various progression or rewards. If that doesn’t help though, I wish you the best of luck in your future gaming endeavor(s).

Dude if you are talking about world quests, just skip them. There are other WQ’s you can do, or just skip them completely. I found out the hard way that they are basically a waste of time anyway.

my problem is that i dont have the speed the others do.

so slowless is an issue, i often get them portals stolen while i fight in the wq… such a pain in the neck :stuck_out_tongue:

this is why im playing a hunter a more forgiven class that has a pet/tank

There’s one most people I, Consoleport I think it’s called. You can def play with a controller, especially solo stuff. When it comes to mapping my entire action bar though, I wouldn’t know where to start. An OP, I have disabilities that make certain parts of the game harder for me too. I just skip those parts. Don’t let a couple side quests determine your enjoyment.

I feel you bro! I broke my neck in a diving accident and I no longer have any hand function whatsoever I can move my arms and my wrist so I basically play with two Fists. On my left hand I’m using the joystick on an Xbox One controller and I’m using the other joystick on that controller to Auto Target and cast spells in sequence. My right fist is on the mouse which I used to click the bilities that I can’t hotkey well to my controller. Feelsbadman LOL when people tell me I’m trash I literally laugh my face off I would love to see these toxic man children to try to play with two Fists.

I have to agree with op,people have a hard time with disabilities is the game and I can understand the frustration they are going through this game .My bro who plays ran across the flipbird quest the other day it became a hurtful adventure as his finger due to the repeat click sent pain through his hand .The stroke took alot out of him through time and is getting worse as the years as go by.Not saying the game is bad but more of a personal challenge him and a good therapy .

Games are about fun for sure and you seem a good enough person that other players would be happy to help

despite some loud posters here and trolls in trade chat WOW is a far friendlier game than it’s given credit for

And I when I struggle with anything, sometime I check out curseforge and see if there is a quality of life mod that alleviates that

No worries man. 99% of the threads in here are people frustrated at the game for one reason or another.

Sorry to hear, OP.

Are there any peripherals that could help you out some? Specialized gaming mice or keyboards? I’ve heard of people using foot pedals for modifiers and such even.

You might try reaching out to https://ablegamers.org/ and see if they can help you out.

Best of luck!
