I am for either making it usable by all or making a second one as a drop or second quest. They have datamined both a red and a black bee so it would be a good use of the assets and quelling the issue.
Honestly i mainly want them to explain their reasoning, if its to make up for the horse then why is the Horde left out due to Blizzards bad rep mount choices? But then again Blizzard seems to have taken an active step in not engaging with the players any more. The CMs are just glorified announcers.
You answered your own question? The alliance got it in response to their unhappiness about Horsegate 2018, which didn’t involve the horde. Ya’ll got 3 new mounts, they got recolors.
Keep having your tantrum though, after a certain amount of time Blizzard will probably give in like they always do. Can’t ever let the alliance have anything nice.
Tantrum? You may be reading too much into my post, clarification and communication should always be encouraged.
Also that doesn’t actually answer the question. For every unique look the horde got there was a drop version that was not faction locked, every horde quest mount was not faction locked. I am curious why this one, out of all the examples, needs to be faction locked or not have a neutral drop. “Horsegate” is a problem of their own creation, its not the horde players fault and they shouldn’t be locked out of things based solely on Blizzard’s error.
Its an odd concept to think the Horde or Alliance players should be treated different because Blizzard screwed up all on their own.
I was more speaking to the rest of the thread as a whole, not you specifically. And let’s be real, many people here are absolutely throwing a tantrum about this.
Because the alliance should get something nice too once in awhile, since they’ve had nothing but horse and gryphon recolors the entire expansion. There’s a quote somewhere from Alex stating that this is exactly the reason they got the bee. Giving them a unique mount might encourage more people to play alliance characters, which is needed since there’s an undeniable imbalance between the factions at end game.
Again it should be reiterated that they got nothing but a-hole responses from the horde when they came here to point out how unfair the Horsegate thing was, and now ya’ll want some pity because you(general you) didn’t get the same toy they did.
Not to deny it exists (though i couldnt find it myself) but thats a silly argument in my mind. If the devs are hoping a single mount is going to affect faction imbalance…well…at all, then they dont have even a vague concept of the problem to begin with which is frightening on its own.
I can try to find it, someone posted it here the other day. He basically acknowledged the horse thing and how unhappy alliance players were and said, “yeah we’re going to rectify that. By the way, those bees sure are cool, aren’t they?”
I think the bee shouldn’t be faction locked. Anyway, my guess is that they will implement some kind of drop recolor soon. But as for being unfair, I don’t know, that is really the only new mount we got, right? The rest is just that endless parade of old horses and gryphons. I would trade all my faction locked mounts for all of your faction locked mounts in a heartbeat.
Yet all i see is ally bias players saying ’ STOP CRYING WE GET ONE MOUNT AND YOU FREAKING OUT’ or "THE ALLIANCE IS WAITING’ LUL
like no, you shouldn’t get to ride my mounts if i cannot ride yours. (Kua’fon and Child of Torcali) that simple.
keep your bee mount, horde is getting thier own soon enough.
Thanks for that. I agree with him that Alliance lacked a ton of character this expansion. If i never see another horse or gryphon mount it will still be too soon.
On that note then i still advocate for a drop version, all the other “broad ecology” models came with one, no reason to suddenly stop now. It was a system i actually enjoyed about BfA.
Wait so horde have 3 factions specific mounts and alliance has only one ? Are you serious was there that big of discrepancy which made it that much easier for horde to get the mount achievements ?
That sure was unfair - blizzard owes alliance two more now.
For all you Alliance people saying “but we got horses!!!” … did we give you horses? No, that was Blizzard’s doing. So why are you being spiteful towards people that had nothing to do with your misery?
The simple fact is the Alliance gets access to both of the Horde-only questline mounts. Blizzard needs to either take them away from the Alliance or let the Horde ride the bee.
That would mean horde would have 5 mounts exclusive and alliance only 1 and as a mount collector on alliance I find that extremely unfair.
Sorry hordie don’t agree. I didn’t realize there was such a discrepancy until OP pointed it out. In fact, blizzard owes alliance two more of these in fact.
