Unexplained High Latency?

Hopefully I put the right topic.

We moved from USA to Germany over a year ago and I have suffered through super high pings over 150ms on average. We got Starlink because German Wi-Fi is terrible, especially where we live. Nothing changed with my ping, in fact, it was at 2000ms at some points. Download speeds and regular internet usage is fast, speed tests are showing my Wi-Fi is solid with Starlink.

I made an EU account and chose German servers, and it’s even worse than my average NA server pings at 290ms. Has anyone had this problem before and how did you fix it?

There’s a inherent latency with satellite connections, as the signal bounces from ground to satellite and back. Unfortunately putting it in the unsupported category for gaming.
