So it turns out the snowstorm mount is the current primary way to generate snowballs. That would be irrelevant if it were not for the fact a primary stat feast created via Gral’s Reverence currently requires snow in a cone which requires snowballs.
So Blizzard is outright punishing people for not FOMO buying a mount that was only available during SL when some of us hadn’t even joined WoW. I heard bad takes saying they discontinued bruto to even out the playing field, but then Blizzard goes ahead and punishes goldmakers in game for not being here during SL.
Let me repeat, a FOMO mount only available during SL is a primary source of a mat for a DF primary stat feast.

Thing is, snowstorm was just essentially cosmetic and not a necessity for goldmaking until DF. Blizzard made the active decision to start people on unequal footing by configuring the reagents for that primary stat feast a year ago.
Make a different version of the feast. There are like 5 of them.

No, the profit margins are negative for all the other ones.
There are 3 of them total, 2 of them are negative margin. The only one worthwhile is the one that requires snowballs.

It’s currently on a downward trends towards only being profitable for people who can create new ones rather than purchase snowballs. ie, there are a bunch of people on snowstorm mounts autoriding into a wall this week in private instances.
you don’t seem real clear on cause and effect here. the reason that’s the only profitable one is because it uses a limited reagent. if everyone could buy snowballs off the vendor, there’d be no profit on this one either.

That’s… not how that works. You know the snow patches despawn in like thirty seconds, right? There’s zero point in auto-running for any amount of time, or going out of your way to do it in an instance.
oh no i understand the post. you’re making the usual request of “blizzard please fix ________ so anyone can make X effortlessly, but somehow keep it profitable for all of us”

They have more than one toon on. There are people multibox farming this for profit on said bnet store mount.
Pretty sure the primary source is the AH. Snowstorm drops a snow pile every 30s or so, containing 1-3 snowballs. AH is way easier, and gold is already easy to make this expansion.
This is really a non-issue.

It really is an issue if people can multibox snowstorm for free snowballs for hours forcing the last profitable feast to turn breakeven by locking others out via unequal starting footing.
It’s free snowballs for them while it’s over 20g each on AH. That is HUGE.
Or anyone who actually thought ahead.
in the time it took you to post and reply to this thread you could have been making gold instead of crying for blizzard to give you a mount
