Hey blizz so I think its about the time unending resolve cd be lowered considering we are the most trained class with the longest defensive cd in the game. Monks wall is 1.5cd war wall 1.5 cd dragon 1.5cd mage is long but they get 2 with complete immunity sp disperse 1.5cd shams 1.5cd rogue gets two at 2min cd dh has multiple defensives with immunity thats at 3min cd i can go on with that. Can you please make warlocks Unending resolve a 2min cooldown it does not hurt the game all it does it actually helps warlocks just a little bit cause we will still be trained 90% of the time.
I think they justify its CD because it provides interrupt immunity. The problem though is a 3 min defensive CD doesn’t sync with 2 min burst CDs.
So it actively encourages melee to zugzug dps the warlock because once you use wall, you won’t have it for the next go.
Dark pact also gets weaker the lower your health goes so that also encourages melee to just mindlessly dps the warlock
Then to top it off, Healthstone still has charges, which again encourages melee to just tunnel the warlock because eventually they’ll run out of charges and have to manually conjure another one.
Honestly all warlock defenses just encourage mindless tunneling by melee. They don’t get punished for it, they get rewarded.
Immunity to an interrupt is dead on a 3min CD especially when now everyone has like 3 to 4 (and this is on the low end of things) ways of disrupting a cast with god knows how many instant AOE ccs with low CDs.
That cooldown was meant for the game back to several expansions, about 10yrs ago, this game is no longer what to used to be, it’s time for the ability to change.
On another note why does gate still have a 1.5 min cd on use for the warlock still.
Yes Sil everything you stated is kinda where i was getting at however DH gets complete immunity with netherwalk at 3min cd. when us locks wall our wall gets stunned 90% of the time preventing us to free cast, so us being unkickable is basically useless. it’ll be nice that were un ccable and unkickable i think that’ll be fair at a 3min cd. I think it should either be buffed where were unstoppable with 3min cd or drop the cd to 2min or even where most classes are at 1.5min.

Personally I think wall should be 2 min and they should bring back Casting Circle for interrupt protection.
It would also provide more skill expression by allowing players to choose which utility to use and when. It’s a bad design to have both utilities tied to each other when one is offensive and one is defensive
You know, I like this, and I like the idea of bringing circle back. To be honest, I hate the precog thing they keep trying to force on casters. It’s dog water play that FORCES you to get a enchant, or a gem, or trait, or whatever nonsense they decide to add it to on a whim. Get precog out and start giving casters better tools.
Or better yet, prune all the ridiculous micro cc. Honestly that would be so nice across the board for all classes in pvp
yea micro CC is a huge problem. this one shot meta with micro CC is very annoying.
The other thing that I highly dislike, none absolutely none of our abilities have changed since idk mop. Oh yeah they removed observer to gives us a pvp talent that disables 3 talents . How does this happen? Where’s the critical thinking here, I hope they have a degree of some sort.
The class tree istill has almost no choice. Abilities that should have been baseline like gateway or banish for reason are still on there. ??? Why?
Our abilities have remain the same meanwhile specs keep getting casting while moving abilities or new tech and what do we get more force casting (oh and yeah you gotta wait till like 6 to 8 secs to get your damage off which seems pretty mid tier with affliction being the lowest, with less defensives and I believe us, shadow priest are the few true dps casters. Everyone else is running around pew pewing. Maybe ele.
Actually we lost a lot of useful abilities and we have so much hard casting that is getting damn ridiculous with mechanics they design, a hell lot more.
Oh but wait you now have specs doing instant damage abilities doing close to doubling what destro chaos bolts could do, the warlock dev is so bad at designing that they made it to the point that destro players are using rof in moments for single target damage because chaos bolts is not worth it this is the 2ND time this dev did this, the same dev that tried taking core procs for demo like about 3 times now and had to walk it back everytime.
Get this person to design specs they LIKE blizzard christ almighty. Is it going to take him botching a spec a 3rd time or the entire class. Because this stinks of someone who isn’t too trill working on this class.

Chaos bolt is pathetic.
Mine hits for like 2mil or so during CDs. My affliction warlock hits for 3.6 mil with Malefic rapture (while also cleaving onto every dotted target.
I hate chaos bolt now. It’s slow, barely does damage, and honestly doesn’t feel like it deserves to be a spender.
Personally I think they need to remove all the “your chaos bolt does x% more damage” talents and just put all the damage into chaos bolt baseline so it just hits hard without the stars having to align
Yea you’re telling me, I had a solo earlier that was me a ww/rogue and a dk. I was either stunned or silenced the entire match. Wall literally does nothing and the damage reduction is a joke. I popped wall at 70% and still got chunked down to 20% in a global while stunned. The game is an absolute joke right now for warlocks with the most outdated toolset of abilities
