at this point its no secret that people are pulling the undying laborer to SW in SOD to lvl wep skill - for alli its easy to level weapon skill; i understand horde have some mobs like this as well - im assuming this IS NOT being considered exploiting bc its been going on for 2 months? i just have hesitated to use it to my own benefit
i am just curious bc every time i go to hit it; and get my first few autos in – i feel like im going to get actioned lol
I mean, lets look at this logically.
The benefit of doing this is twofold:
The former could alternatively be done by running around hitting random mobs, often the weaker mobs surrounding the capital cities. This results in fewer mobs for low level players to kill for exp, given the speed that a level 60 player could mow through them. Thus, the laborer is a net positive for both parties.
However, kiting the laborer does deny paladins (and I think priests?) the opportunity to get one of their runes for a considerable amount of time. This is bad for them.
The second benefit of kiting the laborer is the only one without an easy substitute in the world.
Overall, I see this as less of an exploit, and more of emergent gameplay. As far as I know, there is no bug involved in this either, just an unkillable mob being kited to Stormwind.
ok good - thats how I wanted to see it too - but i didnt want to “TAKE ADVANTAGE” of the situation and be part of some unwarranted banwave
If you’re so worried about it, why are you posting on general discussion? Go ask on the customer service page where you’ll get a rep from Blizz (more likely than not) to respond in lieu of some random nobody on here giving you their opinion which holds no weight when it comes to Blizzard’s choices in deeming what is punishable and what is not.

tons of people have done it and blizzard isn’t going to ban for it.
Counter argument: horde used to do something similar and it was “fixed” cuz it was seen as an exploit.
Also there used to be those mobs that never died you could level weapon skill on and that was also removed cuz it was seen as an exploit.
So… Yes it 100% is an exploit.
I would be surprised if they view it as a big deal. Both factions can head to Blasted Lands and do the same thing on a Servant of Alistarj.
