I noticed that all of my characters seemed like they can breathe underwater. Upon testing, however, they do eventually take damage. The breath bar is just visually missing.
I’m also dealing with this issue. I’ve died twice because I can’t tell I’m running out of breath. I haven’t turned anything on/off and it’s not an addon causing the issue.
Same here. It’s getting annoying.
Surprizing (or is it) there’s no solution to this!? Kind of an important mechanic to have…
Noticed this about 2 weeks ago, so there’ve been resets since. Plenty of time to fix. Happened after last big patch for me. Heard rumors that underwater breathing would just be normal soon?
The breath bar is movable in edit mode as part of the duration bars so you should be checking that you didn’t move that somewhere you wouldn’t be able to see it.
That’s not a thing.
For those still experiencing this issue (dying to breath with no visible breath bar) and using the base UI like me:
Go into your Edit Mode, check the box for “Advanced Options”, and scroll down to “Misc”. Look for the “Duration Bars” option and check that, as well. Change it from the default position, if you so wish, but be sure to hit Save.
My breath bar was in the right position, just disabled (I main a druid so I guess I happened to turn it off a long time ago), but this helped me sort out the issue. Thank you to Battlecruisr for the tip!
I actually do this.
However, I also have the bug that’s existed since this patch in that my UI settings reset every time I /reload, or logout/login. Which includes that option.
this just keeps turning itself off on me, i have done a clean install and using the default UI. it can turn off at random entering water, gaining a buff, going through a portal. great, just great.
