I dipped my toe into ?? Underpin and my pet literally dies within seconds of attacking/being rezzed/summoned/etc. That isn’t fun, Blizzard. We already did this crap with Zekvir and it was tedious then and it’s tedious now. We play hunter to have pets tank. That’s pretty much the entire concept. To have the Underpin once again insta-kill your pet (even with growl off) isn’t good boss design.

Yeah it should just ignore pets completely so they can never accidentally pull aggro or taunt.

It’s really annoying, I killed it as bm, but its a bit tilting having my opener include summon pet because otherwise I run the risk of having to waste a chunk of my opener casting revive pet. Its especially tilting considering that it isn’t enough to always prevent it, though tbh having to revive pets won’t actually end an attempt, its just really annoying on an already annoying encounter.
I’d prefer to have zekvir/underpin just not do extra damage to pets. Being able to tank with them for a little bit, just not the whole fight should be within acceptable grounds. Its not like pets will be able to fully tank a fight where the boss does 2.7 million damage melee hits anyway.

It’s supposed to be a mechanics fight. We already ignore mechanics everywhere else, this is a good challenge for the player instead of the class.
once again you must turn off growl
even if you turn off growl, pets will aggro boss and die a good chunk of the time so you must stand there rezzing your pets meanwhile taking avoidable damage/failing the fight
Luckily after the first ress he would stick to me and not hit the pets. It was consistently annoying though, first kill command cast he would one tap my pet while running to me and I would have to ress during the first leaping slam
might be a skill issue, my pet kept getting murdered in zekvir ?? until i turned off growl and then i stopped having problems
You can say the same with Zekvir. They’re both a ‘mechanics’ fight. The problem is with how they’re designed; which is not something designed for pet classes in mind, such as bm. You can tell by the way our pets will overtake aggro and dies.
I said it with Zekvir and I’ll say it again, I don’t mind face-tanking the boss and deal with their mechanics, my pet shouldn’t have to die with growl off. Having to waste time and risk dying while trying to revive pet for a pet-focused class is a bad design and not something pet classes should have to deal with.
With that in mind, although it happens rarely, I find that even outside of delves, my pet will die and gets seriously hurt in raids and mythic+, why that’s a thing will always be beyond me.

Happened to me a couple times, i’m sure you have Growl off but just in case make double sure, and also start the fight with no pet and build some aggro with Cobra Shot for like 10 seconds before calling it and starting you rotation. I didn’t have any issues with my pet peeling aggro off me during the whole fight on single-? Underpin that way, personally. You could also try throwing in a Mend Pet every now and then, it generates huge aggro on the player.
I agree just like they can tune his damage to pets they should tune his threat received to 0 or something.

Maybe semi-related but any zones related to Delves should get the Unbreakable Bond buff to pets. Just saying…

Wasn’t too bad. Once you get past being uncomfortable with him in your face with pet taunt off and you decide to tank him it seems to get easier (I naturally just kept wanting to run across the map and kite and this is the worst thing you can do). I used the emergency heal curio and the one where elites below 40% health become pets or whatever. I downed it in 4 mins 7 seconds and the elites did 65 million damage. 12% of my damage felt like it was a solid option. The emergency heal proc’d twice (I’d of for sure died). Just don’t eat multiple bran potions at once. Try your best to stay out of the middle of the arena. Don’t panick if one is left before the others drop, just make sure you’re bring to the solo elite left so they spawn on top of him. Keep in mind once a fireball passes you are good to cross that line. If it just popped up you have a second or two to cross it. Lust pot and cds only on the shield phases. Interact button set to a very easy to use/reach key.
