This isn’t a knock on the no fly zone above Undermine. I don’t mind no flying.
Instead I want to talk about the decision for Blizzard to continue to add ground only mounts. Especially considering every other mech suit up to this point flies.
Two points:
- Flying has become an integral part of the WoW gameplay loop, all mounts should probably have flying now. (For you OCD lore overlords, this could easily be achieved with magical levitating mount attachments or some other in world concept. This exists in many games and if the $65 mystical tea bear set doesn’t break the fantasy, being ably to fly on your favorite ground mount wont.)
- If a mount type already has a flying option available, there is no reason to limit the option for the newer models.
The only reason these new mech mounts can’t fly is the cost of animating them. I sincerely hope that Blizzard doesn’t ignore the details for the sake of meeting their “content cadence”

Yea, it is stupid. It’s a recurrent comment on Wowhead on these mounts. Seems the only one that can fly is the glory meta one. Which means I gotta wait till next expac to get it.

Some zones with no flying is fine. We can fly most places. As l9ng as that"s not affected, whatever.

Can you specify which suit it is? “Endermined Mech Suit” doesn’t bring up anything.
Each faction has a variant of this:
None of which can fly despite being reskins of previous mech suit mounts that can fly.

i found a rare drop while argus questing for a 3-time use legion fel surfboard mount. Wish that was permanent, it was so cool
