It’s not working for me and I completed the 4/6 chapters.
Did you pick up the quest to activate it? (I assume so, but never know!)
If you did the quest, then you should post this in the bug report section just in case its an issue for other people too.
What if I didn’t, is there a way to get back there not using the portal?

I think you can fly down to the Ringing Deeps and take the rocket back maybe? I’ll test it right now.

It worked for me.
The quest looks like a purple/pink triangle on the minimap, right next to the portal.

Yes, down near the bottom, where the Undermine quests started. I can grab coordinates if you need.

Just speak to the goblin lady and she’ll send ya back to Undermine. Best of luck!

There is a quest with a big purpleish triangle (final test or something like that) that activates the portal

IMO that should be like the 2nd or 3rd quest into the zone but I’m not surprised it is not.

What is the name of the NPC quest giver for that final questline, please?
I also am 4/6 completed, but the portal does not work for me or any of my alts. I am at the place right now but I am not seeing any triangle quest here.
Rustol I think? It isn’t a portal, but a little pad right next to him that you step on and it takes you to Dornogal where there is another pad you can step on to go back and forth.
Coordinates for Rustol are 27.7 / 54.3
You click the marker on the Wowhead map and copy the map pin to paste into chat in WoW so you can see a marker, if you don’t use coordinates.
There should be a quest called “Test Run”. You may have picked it up already.
Should be to the right as soon as you come out of the “Slam Central Station”.
