I haven’t been able to cast the G-99 Breakneck in two weeks now. I dced one day and just didn’t have it after. The X icon was on my action bar. When I removed it, I didn’t get the extra action bar to put it back. I’ve tried a macro that works for others with no luck. I’ve tried resetting my ui, deleting all my addons, I’ve run every nearly every quest because I don’t know what else to try but having tried everything I have, I really don’t think it’s an issue on my end. I’d really just love to be able to make it to a rare before it died or finish a 10 stack of Surge Pricing. Also, Surge Pricing without having to ground mount it everywhere would be so cool at this point.
EDIT: I should add that I can do races and even stay in the car afterwards but once I get out, there’s no getting back in.
It’s also probably pretty relevant that it’s not just one toon either that lost access to the car.
Some people have had success getting their G-99 button back by completing WQs they were on when the button bugged out.
It seems the bug is not tied to any particular WQ, though ‘Firework it’ has been mentioned a couple times. It might be worth checking/doing the WQs in the zone to see if one of them clears it up for you. It may take some time until they all recycle through to find the right one.
It’s still something that needs to be fixed, but maybe it can help you.
I’ve read a few success stories and have tried to replicate them to no avail. It was brought up to me tonight though that I haven’t been doing them on the toon who actually lost the ability to cast the spell though. It’s honestly been so long as this point that I have no idea what quest I was doing when I dced but the idea was brought up to me tonight to take the toon who lost it in the first place and have them sync quests with someone who hasn’t done the intro up until unlocking the car yet and see if revisiting the wb quests I was doing at the time may sort things out. I’ll be sure to share my success or lack there of once I’ve given it a try! Thanks for your suggestion Shazz!
