How do I learn to dumpster dive now that I’m renown 13 with The Cartels of Undermine? I want to farm Miscellaneous Mechanica for the Margin Manipulator mount. The renown ui says to talk to Smaks Topskimmer but he isn’t offering anything. Any suggestions?
just go to the dumpsters i had the same thing just ignore the npc and go to the big dumpsters

Where can I find the dumpsters?
They get a purple glow when they’re lootable, like the trash cans. Keep your eyes open.
if you did the robot cartel boss dog look for those big dumpsters

no its a cartel bonus for reaching rep 6 or 9 with the main hub each cartel gets a hidden quest boss for the week they can summon once
I’ve been focusing on the Blackwater Cartel for their mounts. Are you talking about the cartel specific rare that can be summoned?

The Overflowing Dumpsters show up on your mini map just like the shiny trash cans do, so keep an eye out for those. Once you get close you’ll see the dumpster sparkling just like the trash cans.

Now I’m confused. What do the dumpsters have to do with the rares?
the same dumpster that you need to look out for is the same skin used to summon the rare

took me forever to find out how this works. Not all dumpsters can be divided into. the ones you can dive into will glow blue, or for me they do might be a setting i have on not sure.
You know how there are trash cans all over the place, but you can only loot some trash cans?
Now the same thing will happen with dumpsters.
They’ll show up as pink containers on the minimap (I think, I don’t think that’s an addon thing). You can also get addons that will alert you if a lootable dumpster or trash can is near.
The text from the renown track indicates that you need to talk to the main weekly questgiver and quartermaster guy in the hotel and do something to activate it, it’s not true. You should be able to just find them now, all over the map.
