Undermine: aesthetic & scale

Don’t get me wrong. I like the goblin theme. And I understand that goblins aren’t going to live in harmony with nature.

But Undermine is so cluttered with visual noise, it’s migraine-inducing. It’s like the city was designed, then scaled down by 30% in MS Paint, so it all bleeds together.

Add weird enemy mob density and the janky DRIVE system on top of that, and I can’t understand who thought this was a good idea.

Even the world quests (so far) are flat-out boring. Shoot balloons with a slow rooftop gun that you can only access via a teleporter that’s tucked away in a corner! Take eight mines off the golf course one at a time! Spam fireworks to knock drones out of the sky!
