All of my gear is item level 115 except for one ring and two trinkets, which puts my average at 107. Even if I replaced those three pieces with absolute BiS, I’d only gain around 50 attack power.
Still got declined from two Karazhan groups for being “undergeared.”
Anyone who declines people for kara for not having full or near full pre-bis are just bad players looking for a carry, it sounds like you dodged some garbage runs. Anyone can look at a guide and follow the bis lists to the T, doesn’t mean they are worth a damn.
As long as someone has the easily obtainable gear (quest line blues, crafted), we brought them and the good players we recruited. Funny part is, its easier to distinguish good players from bad when they don’t have full pre bis. You can tell right away by their gearing choices when it’s not all from a list on wowhead.
We brought a bunch of pugs to gruul this week, one healer was screaming to be swapped out with a diff healer in the healer group so he could have spriest and mana tide. Said he’s the best geared, highest output healer in the raid and demanded to be swapped. Bro was oom 30 seconds into gruul and needed two other innervates plus his own throughout the fight and still managed to be oom for the last minute. To top it all off he had 223k overhealing.
Lesson of the day, lots of the most geared players right now are swipers and can’t play their class worth a damn.
Nowhere is it mentioned whether the gear is or is not kitted up, merely that 107 is being labeled as undergeared. Considering heroics drop 110…that’s insane.
