Under Pressure

Random Thoughts,

Having to stay in the hospital to have a bowel movement after having lower bowel obstruction/hernia repair sucks.
I can’t go under pressure.

Having to report to the Nurse every time I tried was uncomfortable. I went two weeks almost 11 days with out having a bowel movement.

After surgery the doctor couldn’t hear any sounds, and my mom scared me to death talking about how I may end up coming home with a colostomy bag

I’m wishing you a speedy recovery and am very sorry you are going through this. :frowning:

Thanks, I had 14 holes in my belly where they tried to fix the problem performing Laparoscopy surgery first, which did not work so now I have about a six to seven inch cut down my belly to go with the holes.

Ugh! That’s really rough. Let’s hope that’s the end of the surgeries and a return to what most people take for granted.

Sorry to hear it.

Be careful with the incision. it’ll only ever be 80% of the tensile strength of the original… and the incision has that same thing.

Hopefully you heal well.

Thanks, things are going a lot better, not throwing up all the time and able to eat is a plus.

I wish you well in your goal! And I feel your pain, they had to open me up a few years ago, and didn’t want to let me go until I pooped either. Then I asked the doctor what exactly I was supposed to poop as I hadn’t eaten in 5 days (3 before surgery and 2 after). "Oh, I guess we should start you back on solid food… "

That was so not fun.

(sigh)
