I like the idea of going back and earning rewards from old xpacs, but it does have to take place on the existing WoW servers using existing characters. It’s possible that I might do it for the rewards if there are any that I like, but I hate that I won’t be able to use my existing characters.

That’s the only drawback for me too. Had been holding out leveling another till KT pally opens. Not sure what I’ll use for this since it’ll be a throwaway, but the event still looks fun.
Would I be shooting myself in the foot if I pick DH or are the mogs collectable regardless? (also is DH even an option?)
We’ll be using MoP era abilities and talents instead of retail ones right? Because Monk during MoP was an INCREDIBLE CLASS, it was the only expansion I loved playing it (they ruined it in WoD and continued to keep watering it down from there).

I just got a push for 10.2.7 on PTR but no realms are active.
It is my favorite class in dragonflight.

Between Plunderstorm, Season of Discovery, and this, it seems like we’ve returned to an era where WoW is treated with serious passion and excitement.
Feels like we’re in a third age of WoW now, when experimentation is king, and the game is being made with “fun for fun’s sake” in mind again.

From the sounds of it, its going to be modern classes and current iLevels, just on an accelerated leveling track and loot raining from the sky.
Its a little microcosm of modern scaling. I’m sure it will have balance issues enough without bringing back MoP talent trees and what not.
Who exactly was asking for this?
I want MoP Classic, not “mop timewalking” in retail.
