Because one forum for recruiting, Off Topic, class guides, bug reports, etc is not enough for one place. There is a reason why every single game out these days has its own website.

Classic is not even its own game. It is a free side game that comes with your WoW subscription. WoW already has all those sub forums you mentioned.

Both games are free depending on which one you main. Classic needs class forums, recruiting forums, bug, servers, everything retail forums have.
Yes, for retail wow. Go post something in there about Classic. Watch as they shun you and tell you to go to the classic discussion. Hence the need for more area for classic.

You act like classic is an Us vs. Them thing when in reality the majority of people will be playing both.
And no, you pay for a retail subscription and get classic free. There is NO classic subscription.
Ill be paying a Classic subscription and get retail for free.

The sub options aren’t labeled as “retail” it is a WoW subscription meaning the game as a whole. How players decide what content they play and how they wish to play is up to them. This is especially true with classic in the mix. Pserver players had to customize their way to get the piece of the game they wanted, while it will now be the choice of the player. I have no interest in the later expansions or how retail is today, I will play for classic alone and that is my use of the WoW sub.
Exactly. It is a current WoW subscription and you get classic free. Blizzard expressly stated exactly that.
