Undead specific tier wording is unnecessary change my mind

As stated in title please tell me if I’m missing something obvious but I think the ‘on undead targets’ qualifiers for a lot of T3 bonuses were a caveat around the busted strength versions that were originally designed and have since been downscaled several times.

If it’s a consideration of not wanting certain bonuses present in pvp then they should be tagged in a way that doesn’t remove them from 90% of pve content.

If it’s a consideration of wanting your power gain to feel specific to Naxx then thats already accomplished by the presence of the sanctified system before tier bonuses ever come into play.

If it’s because they want arachnid quarter to be specifically harder- why? Just fix the bosses. A harder encounter will always feel better than taking away player synergies. I think everyone is tired of me complaining about no 6P defensive trigger on Maexxna.

If it’s because they want to keep older gear relevant in P8 and onward- they should have thought about that before gating expertise behind 2.5 and later, T2 and earlier will be unplayable due to outdated itemization and stat creep (with some caster exceptions). If you want old gear or bonuses relevant, then utilize the forging system from P5- everyone loved it.

I think the undead tier wording might literally be a holdover from an earlier design point and it hasn’t (yet) occurred to blizzard to undo it. Please revert sooner rather than later after people being sick of it for half a phase- you already know players will rage about it the moment any non-undead raid is announced.

Im looking forward to a non undead raid coming out to vindicate my disdain for the current tier sets and the sanctified systen

Im okay with most of the systems they put in naxx by themselves but between sanctified/undead specific/seal ranks/macro solution affixes all stacked on top of eachother they just doubled down on the questionable stuff in the wrong ways. Conventional raid tier after it would feel like a breath of fresh air

I wouldn’t be surprised if they remove ‘undead’ wording from the 6piece in phase 8

That would be a slap in the face to everyone skipping naxx/T3 because it wasn’t going to be useful after naxx

Then don’t skip tier?

but the tier sucks so much

no incentive to get it now apart from the low chance blizz changes the set post naxx to keep it relevant

I’d rather them keep it useless

the incentive is to enjoy the tier

kind of hard when its designed to feel worse to use than previous tier, some classes are seeing 20-30% more dps from their 2pc/4pc but others are getting 2%-5% from theirs

why struggle and over pay for a 2% gain

because its a 2% gain, same reason you consumable

so im supposed to enjoy a full tier set that provides the same dps boost as two 5g consumables …

no thank you

Some took the Pokemon song to heart. :joy:

Then potentially suffer for it later. you dont get the benefit if you dont do the content.

or reroll or quit the game entirely if you arent happy. like dont pay them if you arent having fun. what response do you want. the game doesn’t revolve around you.

the operative word being “potentially” I’m asking not to suffer, not exactly asking for the moon

they’ve shown with the current phase and gearing system they’re willing and able to throw away player agency, spec and previous effort to experiment

Biggest issue here: you are playing for gear. But you should play for fun. Stop treating the Game like it’s a chore. If you feel like that you should unsubscribe.
And further you have to stop asking to design the game in a way that meets your expectations.

but im not playing naxx, ergo im not playing for the gear

I’m still having fun in the previous raid tiers and helping guildies out when they need

just looking forward to the scarlet enclave and hoping they dont continue to use the sanctified bonus or retro actively change the sets long after the bulk of the phase has passed

So? they’ve been upfront with and been doing that since basically phase 1. you dont see pet centric hunters or glad warriors runing around
