Could you provide evidence while saying “objectively”?
Undead Paladins are called “Death Knights.”
Get in line. Gnome Paladins are ahead of you.
That’s not what Death Knights are…
They didn’t say the norm. Said they didn’t exist at all, which they objectively do.
I think the naaru are the key to undead using the light TBH. The Naaru are creatures of duality and having them be able to absorb/replace magic based on their current alignment seems legit considering what we have seen of them.
On that note we can’t ignore that we have only seen this happen on screen with the naaru in glow stick form but i would imagine if they weren’t insane / evil they could void infuse stuff and make stuff like void forged too
For gods’ sakes, the undead can cast holy magic. I have a source right here from Blizzard devs themselves on how light works.

"Can you please explain how “light” works? The lore states that undead are physically incapable of using the light, much like the Broken, but then we have Forsaken players casting healing spells, and Sir Zeliek in Naxxramas using pseudo-paladin abilities.
Without spoiling too much, we can tell you that wielding the Light is a matter of having willpower or faith in one’s own ability to do it. That’s why there are evil paladins (for example, the Scarlet Crusade and Arthas before he took up Frostmourne). For the undead (and Forsaken), this requires such a great deal of willpower that it is exceedingly rare, especially since it is self-destructive. When undead channel the Light, it feels (to them) as if their entire bodies are being consumed in righteous fire. Forsaken healed by the Light (whether the healer is Forsaken or not) are effectively cauterized by the effect: sure, the wound is healed, but the healing effect is cripplingly painful. Thus, Forsaken priests are beings of unwavering willpower; Forsaken (and death knight) tanks suffer nobly when they have priest and paladin healers in the group; and Sir Zeliek REALLY hates himself."
So yes. There are in fact holy-using forsaken priests. It’s not a matter of ‘oh there’s only a tiny amount’, it’s a matter of unwavering willpower.
I don’t care about paladins in this regard, but at least get the lore right. This thread shows that people have absolutely no idea in that regard. If you’re going to make a claim, do it with a source. Otherwise, GD can agree with you all you want, but you are incorrect.
Edit: Some seem to be even wrong about paladins/light in general. There’s nothing special about being a paladin, you don’t need some certain ‘silly faith’ or whatever. So those arguing against troll or night elf paladins also make 0 sense. Because it fits in lore. The light is about willpower. That’s it. There’s no special Mary-Sue reason as to why you can use the light over others. As much as people want to be special, that simply isn’t the case. ‘Believe in yourself’. That’s it. It’s how we got Scarlets.

no forsaken paladins.
Not that blizzard does not murder their own lore from time to time.
Having three videos full of wrong lore won’t make you any less wrong about this.
Undead paladins already exist. They’re just not a playable option for the forsaken.
Where? Where do forsaken paladins exist? I don’t ever recall seeing a hammer wielding, plate wearing forsaken judging me with a hammer. Just show me where in WOW lore they exist. I admitted blizzard murders their own lore from time to time, so show me the money! Ugly blue skin.
I also feel like far too many people consider game mechanics as lore, when it is not the case…
Why restrict some class specs just because you chose that race/class combo?
In this case: Why block players from Holy or Disc and restrict them to only DPS Shadow spec if they choose Forsaken Priest? I would be peeved if I was locked to DPS only on a healing class.
Priests call upon the light through prayer. And Calia is the only actual priest in lore listed as holy outside of game mechanics and it’s due to Lightforging. The rest are of the Order of the Twisted Shadow. Even calling upon the light to create “miracles” hurts the undead… Imagine being infused with it. It would eventually destroy them.

That took me maybe 20 seconds of googling, and I already had an example.
I feel like far too many people think game mechanics and lore are two completely separate entities that can never interact.
Forsaken have holy priests because they couldn’t give them only one spec, but the lore has since shown that Forsaken holy priests are canon.
Ever since I learned about the whole undead get hurt from the light stuff i always imagined that healing as an undead would be screaming in pain as their allies got better.
tank : could use a little help here (slowlys bleeding out)
healer : psykes themselves up I can do this… ARGHHH!
Tank : looks at healer ok…
Unless their tank happens to be a Death Knight, who… would also be screaming in pain
Why would they have to be infused with anything?
You’re basing your idea of a paladin on Human paladins when we’re shown time and time again they’re not some unquestionable standard that all other races who want to paladin must follow perfectly.
1 lore reasons the light will burn you!
Oh holy priest? I dunno ask Blizzard haha
Even velves can become holy priests
2 faction reasons
let the alliance have one more pally and then the horde can have one
3 personal reasons
why on earth you want something like that. (I hate Calia)
then the dps would be asking if they need to leave or if they can continue
Go ask the Googles.
Uh… Lightforged, infused with light. Draenei? Infused with light. Humans? Infused with light. Dwarves? Infused with Light. Blood elves drained a Naa’ru for crying out loud to infuse themselves with it’s essence. Zan’dalari were favored and showered/infused with the light of their LOA. Tauren? An’she showers them with her light. Give me one instance of a Paladin that is NOT infused with the light in some fashion. I forgot to mention new age BE Paladin are infused with the Sunwell’s light to sustain them.
