Undead Night elves 8.3.5 or 9.0 Spoilers

Then they are making this a very easy decision for me. They cant take every single alliance elf and twist it to fit the fricking horde. Not again. Not night elves.

I hope one of you guys is actually reading this in the god space. Heres my feedback: let it be over. Dont do this.

Y’all are being really melodramatic over your own assumptions on things that aren’t happening.

Night Elf dark rangers are staying with the forsaken, and are being used as a plot device to prop up Calia. That is all.

The living night elves are the canon winners of the Darkshore warfront. Darkshore is theirs.

Although blizzard did say that “the night elves got their revenge on darkshore”, it’s implied that night elves canonically won the darkshore warfront. Its not possible that they don’t see what they are doing. If they are doing this why they don’t exclude night elves from the game already?

That alone is a big punch on the face tho. It makes 0 sense to be allies with their murderers, and it makes even less sense to steal 2 alliance heroes, calia and derek, to the horde.

So is Calia “I Fled From My Kingdom and Was Then Magically Raised Into Goody-Goody Version of Undeath” Menethil actually going to be the writer’s go-to whenever they need someone “Undead” to magically soothe the crippling misery that characters who are actually Undead have? Is that really what we’re seeing here?

“Ohh no Derek, I know that you were forcibly raised from the dead into a rotting corpse, but there-there, mommy Calia will somehow ease your pain.”

“Ohh no these Night Elves were BURNED ALIVE and watched all of their friends and family burn alive around them in a massive warzone. Don’t worry suffering thousands-of-years-old Night Elves, this holy-can-do-no-wrong clueless not-Queen that’s probably never wanted for anything in her life can ease your pain! Because the writing team can’t write in-context to save their lives.”

Garbage. You couldn’t have a more privileged, clueless, character to shove into these hamfisted situations.

I see them more as a new option to undead anything.

Well it’s not like Tyrande is going to welcome them back home with open arms. Delaryn put it best when she said “we have nothing left, we are forsaken.”

This is also how the forsaken have been working since cataclysm. They raise the people who fought them in life and a surprising amount of them choose to join their ranks in undeath.

It’s like dying changes your whole perspective.

The ones who didn’t choose to side with their murderers became the vengeful wisps that attacked the horde players who tried to raise them.

Maiev’s dialogue with Sira indicates otherwise, she tells Sira to stop and get back with the nelves. Plus, death knights are already a part of nelf society (although they face some prejudice) and alliance’s view of undeath is slowly changing. Nothing indicates that Tyrande was going to cast them out, my guess is that as long as they are up to murdering sylvanas in the bloodiest way possible, literally anyone is welcome.

Just had a brilliant idea. Let tyrande gather up all the undead night elves and put them out of their misery. Horde will love it because then shes evil and we can correct the worst plot to enter WoW since BC.

There we go. I dont even care if they destroy tyrande as a character.

They should just never mention the undead Night Elves again, unless it’s to justify Dark Rangers as a class for the Alliance.

This.
They are already Horde, the question is if we’ll play with them.

Undead night elves in the Horde would be AMAZING. They have shal’dorei and sin’dorei. The Horde have dark wardens now, undead night elves, Calia as a leader of forsaken(who knows?), a council instead of a warchief. The Horde is really becoming very nice hahaha
And vulperas, of course. Vulperas everywhere!

Yes, because the choice sylvanas offers is “serve the forsaken or get back to the grave”. Plus isalready established in lore that undeads get back to life with their minds and their judgement clouded, so even if their initial decision of joining their murderers made sense, there is no reason to keep alligned with them once their minds become clearer.

Yes but everything is so wrong about the horde stealing all of the Night elves’ niches.

I understand the faction lines blur more and more as time progresses in game, but really this should be a time for the night elves to shine, not have their identities stolen.

They should be leading the charge for sylvanas’ Ultimate demise

But now we are just being tools for N’zoths Death and Sylvanas’ plans to raise him too
she is certainly playing 4d chess

Next expac will be all about undead gnomes .

I’d rather that be the case
a creepy comic relief match up.

Second verse, same as the first
It doesn’t get better, it only gets worse!

That seems to be the mantra lately

Because they are going for ground breaking sorry telling when it shouldn’t be done in an mmo, they can have great writing no doubt but it’s often at the expense of the players.

What? She literally wanted them to come back the second they were raised as undeads

Yeah, but they refused. They have betrayed her in her eyes, and her night warrior persona demands vengeance against all forsaken.
