Eh, I prefer the bones showing. To each their own though, nifty this is going to be an option.
We have a class that can summon walking skeletons. We have an expansion based on fighting an army of walking skeletons. We have a CGI cinematic featuring walking skeletons. All this, and it doesn’t seem to matter if undeath was caused by magic or an alchemical concoction.
Exposed bones are hardly lore unfriendly.
and pink hair, don’t forget about that!
All fine answers to my asinine question. Personally though I prefer its because they were are a little chilly.
I still see some of the male’s spine, ribcage, and knee bones.
I really hope those are a WIP.
Yes!! Worth buying the expansion alone for. A sexy zombie pirate I shall finally be! <3

Because in China, which is a large market for WoW, Undead are not allowed to have bones.
It’s not a lore reason I know, but they already censored it when the game first came out.

I’ll have to check when I get home if I can change skin and eyes. I only recall hairstyles being changeable.
Skeletons <> forsaken. Forsaken have to have their bodies intact for them to function correctly. It also isn’t “exposed bones” it is that there is literally nothing holding their legs and arms on. A forsaken in the stake of the PC is most likely very close to losing their consciousness and devolving into a mindless undead.

Did you guys see the green texture? That’s pretty cool! You can be a blighted Forsaken.
LOL they also have a bright pink hairstyle now like Gnomes.
Also worth nothing that they aren’t done with the boneless model, hence the bony bits still showing and the janky angles of skin around the knees. These are looking awesome so far! Though I wish they’d give us an option to stand upright like they did for orcs.
Unless you have a source from Blizzard’s own mouth spelling that out for me, it’s whatever you want to believe to twist the lore for your argument. Seems to be a running gag on these forums lately.
They’re undead, but unlike the scourge they retain their individualism. End of.

Yet they’re still missing the flesh from their toes.
On my tauren the choices are: Face, Horn Style, Horn Color, Facial Hair, and Skin Color.
On my BE it is: Face, Hair Style, Hair Color, Facial Hair, Skin Color.
Currently eye color is tied to Face, so you can change that there as well. You can pick every option you could at character creation except gender.
I did not know the barber went that far. I usually change my hair.
I’d like the hide bones option. Not because my character isn’t horribly skeletal, but rather 'cause he hides it under his robes at all times.
Wow, they looks so fantastic!
That Elvira hair though!! Yas!
I was really stoked about that too.
Yes it would be nice to have the upright option, I have yet to see a zombie movie with them walking hunched over like that.
I had to google that, the hairstyle made me laugh.
