Since they already died are they allowed in Shadowlands
I remember an old DK lore stub about storing undead minions in what’s now called the Shadowlands, so I guess?
Were the valkyr bringing people back legally
Material plane Undead, as they have not been processed by the Arbiter and assigned to a realm, are considered a mortal just like a living person. You’d have to give up your ties to your old meat suit to be categorized otherwise.
Arbiter: “Ahhh, another. I see your life was filled with slaughter and vile behavior in the name of the Horde, so shall you be sent to–”
Nezmith: “Hang on, I gotta answer this. Bjornia is calling again.”
Arbiter: “DON’T YOU DARE ACCEPT THAT CALL.”
Nezmith: (Disappears again)
How awkward must it be to be an undead DK going to the Arbiter?
Is it like watching a rerun of a movie to her?
This is officially my head canon for how undead operate. Inadvertently hanging up on the Arbiter when they get a call from any necromancer.
Arbiter: *tries to call back the undead *
Secretary: “Sorry boss, I think we’re getting bad spell service. Want me to try again later?”
Arbiter: *sighs * “Yeah, you do that, I’mma take a nap.”
There are Forsaken Aspirants in Bastion, so yeah. Undead can be returned to the Shadowlands.
Apparently those who returned from the Shadowlands to the mortal plane do not remember much of the events there. That was the explanation given for Cenarius.
Even Sylvanas herself may not remember standing before the Arbiter, but would remember traces of what happened in Bastion or the Maw.
There’s an entire covenant based on zombies. Why wouldn’t undead be allowed in?
Sorry for the noob questions. I’m really just trying to dissect wows theory on the veil between life and death in relation to the game. Having basic knowledge of lore it is a challenge. If there is a hierarchical system, what are its weak points and is its head strong. Who was responsible for the scourge on that side. And how come the good guys didnt stop that threat before it came to azeroth. I imagine life is like one portal after another. We just keep jumping into new worlds claiming to be the after life, only to jump into another portal. Until all threats are gone and we live in a perfect world.
Ok so to bypass the veil between heaven and earth all we need to do is rip in half a helmet of domination forged in a forge of domination.
With that being said, I think blizzard believes that if we quest hard enough we can gain the 3rd eye.
A lot of this lore is pretty new anyway, so no worries about asking these questions.
So far it seems that the Shadowlands is built with many different systems in mind, the different zones we go to are noted to not be the only ones, and they all somehow take part in and contribute to ‘Death as a machine’.
With the scourge, as it stands now, is made completely by outsider (in relation to the shadowlands) influences, specifically the Burning Legion. I guess with new information we could be updated on the specifics on whether they also had help from within the Shadowlands but that’s yet to be seen.
The Scourge appears to be the result of a mixture of magic from Maldraxxus and the Maw. The knowledge for the Plague of Undeath likely came from the House of Plagues, which is why the Forsaken were never able to fully duplicate it on their own. The House of Plagues notes they had spies before their destruction though, so hard to say if that info was stolen from them or not.
The Helm Itself was made by the imprisoned Runesmith in Torgast, who also made Frostmourne and the Plate of the Damned. We do not know what their original purpose was to be, but somehow all that gear found its way into the Legion’s hands. I suspect the Brokers smuggled it over the veil. Those guys are shady has HECK. They will likely do anything that turns them a profit.
The Helm acted like a sort of nexus between all of the Scourge and the root of their hive mind. When it was broken the collective anima of the entire Scourge got released all at once, which apparently was used as a catalyst to tear a hole in the Eternal Veil. The Frozen Throne was noted in BFA to be a place where the Veil was already very weak, and it seem somehow it must be anchored to Torgast given Icecrown and Torgast align perfectly like a freaky mirror reflection.
The caliber of your imagination is paramount
Arbiter: to the maw to rot
Undead: azeroth? Kk Arbs tootles
Man, imagine how miffed some undead might be, expecting to go into the Shadowlands and at least get their old bodies back for a time, except their appearances are still very much current.
The lore behind the new customisations?
Nah, justification for the new customizations is that those are the people raised shortly after death, IE most undead introduced in Cataclysm.
I mean, that, and possibly undead who wear proper sleeves and pants, like Rothiron here will be.
Presumably, we don’t have those customizations just because we’re moonlighting in the Shadowlands.
The Brokers open portals to Realms of Death at random! They once opened a portal to a Death Realm with a Horror so frightening they decided not to open a portal to that Death Realm again! That is done in Oribos while the Players are watching too.
They probably opened a portal to the Maw while looking for things to sell to the Dreadlords and the delivery guy for the Jailer(the Helm and Armor looks like it was made for him) walked through it thinking he was going to the Jailer and not the Brokers.
The Brokers made a bunch of money and the Dreadlords got a superweapon!
No one who goes into the Maw comes out but Portals into the Maw can bring in Horrors and treasures of great value to any buyer who wants it.

Wasn’t it the Shadowlands where Arugal got his power from and brought the Sons of Arugal over and kind of created the Worgen?
