I don’t understand why we can’t play hunter with undead. I mean Sylvanas is our leader you would think she would have an army of hunters. Bats and spiders would be the go to pets.
Devs, please, give us undead hunters

Was just about to post this lol.
It’s just the build they based SoD after didn’t yet have the undead hunters in it. Not sure what it would take to add em or if it would even be feasible. Would love to see it though in a later real classic+. Plenty of rotting and undead pets out there that need a home.

The official answer is because we share the same client as Era and Hardcore(which is why you can change to each server seemlessly, unlike if you want to play Wrath or Retail). Any changes to the client would effect them as well, while things like the runes, items, and quests are just database changes and doesn’t effect them.

Or think of it like she’s a real main character, yours is the insert. Yes, they are cooler than you.
Yeah it’s kind of weird there’s no human or undead hunters, when there are human and undead hunter npcs in the game. Gnomes don’t really make sense with pets, but they don’t make sense as warriors either and there are gunner gnomes in the game. Hunter probably should have just been like warrior where every race can do it.
