Why can’t PvP trinkets just enhance class abilities instead of adding some toxic borrowed power ability that everyone is going to hate and feel forced to use. I really dreaded the return of this trinket and my fears were justified. I was perfectly happy with emblem (needed nerfed but otherwise ok), badge, and insignia.

Did people like maledict in BFA I don’t even remember
Maledict was at least magic so you had to play around things like dispel, grounding, reflect, shell, cloak, etc
Afaik this thing is just a pure physical channel that is only countered by hard cc
It’s like they took out the good elements of maledict and redesigned it to only keep the bad

Only because it was so damp and it sped up games. It was despised for the most part though.
@Grev it’s a curse and should be able to get cleansed, stuff you listed should work too from my understanding, haven’t used or seen it yet tho.

The channel for this trinket appears to be physical and can’t be interrupted (it can be cc’d to break the channel), but the effect is magic. You need to wait for the full channel to complete in order for the dispel to completely remove the absorb otherwise it will only get what was placed on the target up to that point. I am anticipating them making it interruptible at some point and/or not allowing you to move while channeling it. Overall it’s a toxic addition to PvP imo. Feels like complete cheese.

Yea but it does insane damage at the highest level regardless of the absorb I legit got cheesed by it all the time last night at 2100 mmr on my sham.

Oh, well I may have to get it before they nerf it like they did with maledict. They will probably nerf the crap out of dmg done and leave the absorb portion on it.
