I’m not sure if this is a bug or I’m just extremely unlucky. I’m known by my friends that I would blow away any statistics for getting the worst results from random generators. I’m not allowed to shuffle card decks and even get special privileges when making characters for ttrpg simply because… I could be given every benefit in the games and would still miss the mark. I know you think I’m exaggerating and so did my friends until they saw it first hand. The only thing I’m exaggerating about is not saying how often my luck is completely bad.
Anyway, I have only one account on retail and it is maxed out on the number of characters I can create. Not all characters have achieved the level of TBC and once mounts were shared across all characters I did not try for Cenarion Expedition faction any longer. Though that doesn’t mean I didn’t turn in the plants for the quest rewards.
Saying this, out of all these characters (probably at least 30 +2 counting Classic), I think two of them have ever received the Uncatalogued Species quest in those little packages of identified plant parts. Basically, I’m asking for this quest (Uncatalogued Species) to forego RNG and drop in those bags for characters who have not already received that quest.
One of the two characters that has received that quest actually got it twice back-to-back in turning in parent quest. I didn’t count that as a third time since I got it on the same character.
The reason I ask this is because, as you know, after reaching Honored with Cenarion Expedition, you can no longer turn in the plant parts and therefore no longer get the Uncatalogued Species quest.
I’m just saying that out of an estimate of 40 of my characters traveling through and doing the parent quest, only two of them received the ‘bonus’ quest. That’s not great odds, especially for me.
Please make this quest drop more often or even make it drop all the time until the character who gets it accepts it or is stops turning in plant parts.
