Time gating sucks
for things like gear, time gating doesnāt make sense to me. iām sure thereās arguments against it, but the only thing that uncapped valor does, is decrease the time it took from the beginning of the season to be able to push high level keys.
faster gear / valor = higher keys. thereās not much else to it.
Blizzard needs to improve raid drops and just how they make the raids in general. As of right now the amount of loot drops doesnāt make it appealing for a time commitment with little chance of getting a reward. With that being said that doesnāt mean we should nerf mythic + loot into the ground
For real. The raiders look at uncapped valor like itās the end of raiding. Itās not. Raiding will always exist, no matter how bad itās designed. I just find it laughable that the raiders cry sooo much about mythic plus gear being so easy to get. Uuuuhhhh i wonder why??? Because raiding sucks, thatās why. Blizzard needs to change around raiding, itās old. Really old.
Mythic plus uncapped valor is going away regardless of how i feel about it and thatās fine i guess, lots of people have suggested raising the cap. I always felt like I wanted to do more, the time gate is just bad. I stopped playing for three years, hopped back in at 9.1.5 uncapped valor. Best time Iāve had in a while. Stopped playing for a few months, came back, 9.2.5 uncapped valor. More fun. Wasnāt interested in raiding one bit. Not a single bit.
I feel like raiders will always argue for nerfs to mythic plus just because theyāre so committed to holding onto the idea and concept of raiding.
I love it. It allows players to grind as much as they want to.
This isnāt possible though. Everyone on this forum keeps telling me you get full mythic gear from Mythic+ in a few 45 minute runs
Uncapped valor is actually terrible outside of this meme season.

Especially since the current ilvl kings in PvE are Mythic raiders, not M+ people.
people are gonna be real pikachu faceād when they realize that mythic raiders have higher ilvls on average than m+ only players, they probably will just ignore that fact though
Do any of you know why M+ is so good for gearing besides the obvious fact that itās easy to farm?
Because thereās 8 dungeons, with all different loot tables, that drop pieces that ARE NOT weapons / trinkets
Some pieces have better secondary stats FROM m+ that is not present on the raiding loot table. Even if raiding gear was higher ilvl, people would still use the gear that is an āupgradeā which would mean that some pieces from m+ fully upgraded would be better than the gear from raids at a higher ilvl.

298 Ring Drops Crit / Haste (your bis)
304 Ring Drops from Raid Vers Mastery
You still use the 298 piece because itās actually still an upgrade over the 304. Do you see why M+ gearing makes sense?
Why and how?
You would argue that I should be forced to to spend time wasting it in badly designed raids that are designed to waste my time? You would argue that I should be forced to find a group, wait for summons, wait for buffs, kill trash, kill more trash, sit and buff again, pull the boss, wipe, run back, buff again, maybe down it, kill more trash, buff again, kill the boss or wipe, and rinse repeat?? You wanna force people to go through all that crap for the best gear?
You would argue against someone putting countless hours of their own time to grind and farm uncapped valor because, oh I know exactly why, youāll feel left behind. The bottom line is that people are against uncapped valor because they will be left behind to all the no lifers. But guess what? People who donāt raid have been feeling left behind for almost two decades.
Itās time to swtch up raiding. The design is so flawed itās a joke and a meme. Give raids more loot, less pointless trash packs, and wiping should start you off at the boss. I believe dragonflight is changing around buffs and flasks which is a good start.
Creation Catalyst is amazing for everyone. Remember when you would go months without completing your 4 set because it didnāt drop, meanwhile they have been DEāing other tier sets for weeks? And its even worse for pugs because you canāt count on trading like you can in an established group. I went through all of the ICC patch without getting my 2 set let alone 4 set, I never want to experience that again and anything that prevents it is looking pretty darn good to me.
If its only available in raid than it should only work in raid. But Iām willing to bet you would hate that as well.
Lets try a thought experiment. Have all three pillars offer tier sets (the same one) and they only work in the content you grind them out in. That way the players who do that specific type of content are the ones that get the most benefit. Iāll tell you how that would play out though. Raiders (as well as many and maybe even most M+ and pvpers) would complain that their time wasnāt respected and they donāt want to have to grind out the same sets repeatedly when they already earned them.
Furthermore you would see a drastic drop in participation from different activities as there would no longer be a need to run content you donāt enjoy. Kind of like the massive participation drop in raids in the last two seasons.
In my opinion it was the single worst raid ever designed, both in looks and in mechanics. It single-handedly killed three separate guilds for me. But my opinion like yours hold the same value, both meaningless to the people who make the game.
It seems to come down to the fact that you donāt like how your play time is used. The weird thing about this is that you are in charge of it. If you want to raid more, than raid. There are tons of people who push past +15ās (or 20ās for portals) despite not being rewarded for it. It seems like you donāt enjoy raiding if the only reason you do it is for rewards.

It is driven by loots and treasures. On S3, I can get everything I want outside of Raid. Why would I raid? Thatās the concern⦠when Raid is not desired.
Last Season, I was planning to gear up on M+ then I would do Raid. After gearing up on M+, I realized I have nothing I want from Raid. So I just skip Raid the whole season last season. The game forced me to abandon raid totally. And thatās bad.
It wont be that bad if there is no Creation Catalyst. I am 100% sure, I would seek for Tier gear on Raid if Raid is the only source of Tier gear like what I did on Shards of Domination. I dont worry about Mythic + becoz it would be played by everybody regardless.
S4 is different. Just a simple Skeletal Saber Cat mount on a green slime has made a lot of players to do raid even non-raiders⦠even me. Then when I completed it, I realized it also gave me Dinar which is a very good upgrade path for weapons, trinkets and other special stuffs for our specs. It keeps me wanting to play Raid becoz trinkets on M+ is generally inferior.
And I still believe Tier gear is suppose to be Raid-only loot. Only in Shadowlands where you could complete the whole Tier Set without stepping into a single Raid. That to me is stupid.

Also, domination shards lasted only 1 patch because they were horrible and just another system that made players not want to play the game.

Itās horrible to you. Itās awesome to me. Even its Raid location is 10/10 to me. I find Sanctum Domination way better than Sepulcher becoz Sepulcher is very ordinary⦠very common, nothing special⦠and itās Final Boss is Horrible. WHere can you find a WoW raid where the Final Boss is the easiest to kill? Only in Sepulcher.
