Uncap the raids…

Why are you guys going back on the raid sizes? You guys announced classic classic which caused people to leave, we recruited a handful like everyone else to avoid roster boss problems. Then you go ahead and cap at 25… why what purpose? SoD is casual at this point just let us enjoy the rest that it has to offer.

Agreed. The one change nobody complained about was flex raiding.

Facts. I think blizzard purposely wants to end SOD

It does seem really weird and counterintuitive. Everyone I know, including myself, applauded Blizzard’s decision to allow massive flex raiding in Phase 5 along with uncapping MC at the same time.

What’s the reason to go back now? Where did they get this supposed feedback that people didn’t like it? It honestly feels like some classic dev had a bad experience one time in a 30 man BWL and is taking it out on the rest of SoD lmao.

Yep. Makes no sense. Just keep it tuned for 20 and allow up to 40. The penalty is lower chances for getting gear the more you bring. Community had already agreed it’s a good approach.

Don’t need to overthink this one, Blizz.

Capping it at 25 makes a lot more sense than 40.

I think even 30 would be fine. But 40? I mean being able to bring literally twice as many people a dungeon is tuned for just feels like overkill. At that point why even bother spending a lot of time on designing interesting boss encounters/mechanics if you can just faceroll it?

While I wouldnt personally bring 40 players into a raid, who are we (or Blizzard), to decide how those players should or shouldnt play? Sure I think its stupid to bring that many players in bc of all the loot competition, but everyone in those 30-40 man raids know very well what theyre signing up for when doing that big of groups.

I was hoping that there was actual issues mechanics wise that was causing issues with having the raids go to 40, but Aggrend essentially tweeted that they decided that the players that are doing this massive runs, really dont want to. Goes all the way back around to “You think you do, but you dont.” :joy:

As I said in another thread.

I’m pretty sure they limited it because the “Don’t Die Too Much” mechanic is probably set at around 40. So a full wipe on just one boss would mean no ‘bonus loot’ at all until the next checkpoint (which I’m guessing resets the death count).

When I was testing it, even with several wipes on Twins figuring out tanks positioning, and chain beam wipes on the C’Thun pull, we still ended with like 340 lives remaining lol so there is plenty of leeway for the HM mechanic.

The only cap should be what the technology can handle.

This is yet another change carried out by people who clearly have never played the game as an MMO, and only as a single player lobby.

Preemptive measure from blizz knowing half the sod population gonna bounce tomorrow. Hard cap be a godsend for you all

You do realize that there were that many “lives” on the ptr only for testing right and that on live servers you will have many times less of them?

Yeah Let these ZG faceroll kidds, take 200 ppl to a 20man raid, so they have a chance of killing a boss or 2.
