Unbearable lag upon start of a keystone

Title says it all, upon the start of a keystone my game will instantly lag to the point of being unplayable. Before the keystone my ping will be ~80 ms which is completely normal and upon startup it will spike to 10000 ms and be completely unplayable. The only way I can exit the game after that point is to alt+f4. This has been happening consistently for a few days now and has completely ruined the game for me. If I cant raid or do mythic plus I have no reason to play. My ISP is Sasktel in Saskatchewan, Canada. Here is my WinWTR report during one such incident.

UPDATE:

I would also like to mention that I have tried running the repair tool on my warcraft install and disabling all addons to no avail.

Can confirm I’ve been seeing the exact same results, Sasktel ISP as well. When i log in, game is around 70-80ms. Then after a while it ramps up to 1000+

Same here in Regina.

This problem is very similar to something that happened a while ago.

I will find old post and add link…

happening here in saskatoon, saskatchewan

Same exact problem here. I can’t even play now. Nothing loads after i get through the loading screen. can’t cast any abilities whatsoever. Sasktel ISP in Saskatoon.

To anyone having this issue, try switching DNS to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 these are the cloudflare DNS addresses and have seemed to resolve my issue

Tried this and it doesnt work, this issue has now gotten 10 times worse than when I originally posted. I can no longer do anything in the game. If this is not addressed quickly I will have to unsub.

Odd, Changing DNS resolved the issue for me, also tested a VPN it does the trick too.

I tried this last night actually and it seemed to work at first but it quickly devolved into my current situation

East-Central Saskatchewan here. We are having issues very similar to when Sasktel was dumping packets as posted earlier. That time, after many conversations with technical support with Blizzard and Sasktel, it was discovered that Sasktel was indeed responsible! Time to start complaining again!

How did Sasktel end up resolving it?

Not sure what they did, but the latency issues improved. It took many calls though.

Hopefully this Helps track down the issue

Why won’t the forums let my post my Looking Glass Report?

High latency here also since Sunday. Sasktel also. Tried the usual wtf, cache and addon wipe. 3 scan and repairs done. Multiple router resets as well as giving permissions to Blizz apps. Updated all my drivers. I’m all outta ideas. Did anyone get any information or clues to what is going on from Sasktel?

Also having latency problems with anything Blizzard related including the forums and website.

Currently dealing with Sasktel Support, Sending them info, currently getting escalated

Just a quick update to this thread. When talking to sasktel I was able to provide them with nodes that seem to be causing packet drops. Since it is a sasktel issue, the cloudflare workaround will not bypass the lag, guess it was a lucky trial the first time I tried.

That being said. If anyone has access to VPN software, connecting out of province will bypass the nodes. 135ms is a bit better than 2100
