I don’t see any public orders ever. When people try to send me private orders the game says my character doesn’t exist. what’s the reason for this?
Public orders are very rare and are usually sniped.
Unless the other people are in your guild, they need to:
- Be on the same cluster as you
- Put your server name after your character name, if they’re not on the same server
I’ve used my own character to make public orders and know for a fact they still exist when i try to find them but they don’t show up. Also, several people have tried to put in private orders for my character with the correct name and realm and constantly tell me my character doesnt exist. i even add them to battlenet and try to work the issue out with zero luck. I can make public orders, but my mage has never been able to complete any ever.
What realm is your character on?
What realm are the characters that are trying to send the work order?
Stormrage is where my mage is located and it has been an issue with several different people on different servers. I don’t have an active list, but this has been an issue for a very long time.
Are these people in your guild?
You cant send cross realm orders, unless the crafter is in the same guild.
You’re only allowed to request private orders from people on your server?
Yep. And public orders work the same, only from your local server or cluster.
Is it single server or a cluster? How do they expect people to seriously use the system when it only works on a specific server? I feel really bad for people on dead servers if this is actually the issue.
Some servers are connected due to their population size. For example, my server cluster is comprised of Alleria, Exodar, Khadgar, and Medivh.
Stormrage is a high population server, so it is not connected to any other server.
