Unable to turn-in non-80 level quest "A Burning Path Through Time"

&tldr: There’s no one to turn the quest to.

Received this quest at level 78 while in a timewalking dungeon and completed the 5th dungeon after reaching level 80. The quest reward is listed as a Timely Goodie Bag and 10 Bronze Celebration Tokens. This quest is separate from the similarly titled quest from High Speaker Brinthe in Donogal which rewards a Cache of Nerubian Treasures and 10 Bronze celebration tokens.

I have the same problem. I have also picked up An Original Path Through Time without paying attention. I thought these resets were supposed to happen during the maintenance and not while we are actively working on it…

Hello.

This happened to me on my druid a few minutes ago. I went to Shattrath and I was able to turn the quest.

Going back to Dornogal, you can pick up the quest again for some reason.

The quest givers at Shattrath aren’t the ones to turn-in for this particular quest. They do give Disturbance Detected Black Temple, and The Swirling Vial.

Same issue for me.

Figured it out. you have to hand in Shattrath for some reason. Doesnt say that any where and when you click it, it doesnt show up. Too confusing.

The sub-80 version requires Shattrath, as mentioned. Only the level 80 version can be turned in at Dornogal.

Hand it in at Shattrath

As mentioned above, none of the quest givers accepted the quest turn-in.

Did you actually check? That’s where I just turned it in.

Thanks Thecheatt

I’m having the same problem. I got the quest on my priest at level 70 and completed it at level 74 but there was no NPC in Dornogal to turn it in or Tanaris either. My wife was also playing her Toon is level 80 and the NPC with the blue ? above it’s head is definitely in Dornogal where you pick up the weekly over towards the flight path in front of the Inn. So she turned hers in, I finally hit level 80 and I went back over there and am still unable to turn in my quest, however the game let me pick up the Timewalking quest again. So now I have 1 completed and 1 saying I need 5 more Timewalking dungeons!

I’ve run timewalking for the last 2 weeks on various Toons, and the NPC was in Tanaris. I submitted a bug and I also opened a ticket :frowning: It’s frustrating, to say the least.

Edit: Someone else was correct for whatever reason this quest turn in is in Shattrath City, upstairs by the timewalking vendors  Now I can still go do 5 more timewalking dungeons then turn that quest in, in Dornogal!

My wife was saying the same thing to me, it would have been too easy if it located on the Map where to turn in the actual quest :frowning: I got it at level 70 and finished it at level 74. Then I submitted a bug, opened a ticket, didn’t find this post until I created my own thread unfortunately. I turned in one timewalking quest in Shattrath City upstairs by the timewalking vendors and now I can go and do the other timewalking quest I picked up in Dornogal when I hit level 80. Earlier my wifes Toon was in our party (she was tanking for me, to help me level) and the quest I held which I turned in in Shattrath City said the same thing as hers (so I thought it was the same) I was bummed not being able to get the experience or turn it in. Now I turned it in and it was only +4 upgrade on my wrist/no experience. But glad at least, there was an answer  Cheers.

Incorrect. “A Burning Path Through Time” is the TBC TW quest granted upon completing the FIRST TBC TW dungeon that week. It is a drop upon dungeon completion that auto-grants the quest.

This character both obtained AND turned this quest in right after the TW quests reset. She turned it in in SHATTRATH. This is not the same as the “Do 5 TW quests” max-level quest. This quest rewards 500 TW tokens.

Because those 2 weeks were the special Classic TW dungeons. TBC TW turnin has ALWAYS been in Shattrath, 2nd level of the room you zone into.

Read the quest, folks. If you’re still confused, mouseover the quest item. It DOES tell you to turn it in to the NPC in Shattrath.

Yes. I’ve stated this twice in the posts you’ve quoted. My experience is obviously different than yours.

Thank you everyone for this information. I had the same issue and nothing in the quest tells you to go to Shattrath to turn in the Burning Path Through Time quest – a quest that was shared to me while I was a 78. I was afraid to pick up the Level 80 version in Dornogal without turning this one in first. Glad to have turned the quest and the swirling vial in in Shattrath. Now headed to Dornogal to get level 80 quest.

I didn’t have a turn-in on my 74 Warlock in Dorn or Tanaris, but went to Shatt and it’s the same lady who wants the Twisted vial turn in quest. Just make sure you don’t have the Classic dungeons from last week, you’ll have to bail on that and grab the BC Timewalking I think…

I mean, if you click on the quest in your log, it will show you a map of Shattrath on the left.

That’s a really weird way to say it. There’s only two explanations at this point, you’re bugged or you haven’t actually checked. Saying it like this makes it seem like there’s still some other explanation that would make you right. The bottom line is this quest is supposed to be turned in at Cupri in Shattrath. If it doesn’t work for you, you need to file a bug report rather than act like everyone’s “experience” could be different.
