Unable to trade Dimmed Primeval items

Can confirm this is still bugged. In 4 attempts so far today, twice in a group and twice not in a group, nobody could trade the dimmed primeval drops to me. They get a message that I’m not eligible. I am getting all the other loot on the boss.

Is this related to being cross-server?

A friend invited me to a group, we are on different servers, both tagged boss both got loot from it. I got an extra dimmable, tried to trade it and says my friend is ineligible.

This has to be the most poorly designed pre-patch event I’ve ever seen Bliz deliver. It’s like there wasn’t any QA at all and this subject matter deserved better treatment than this.

You can trade the Dimmed primeval items but only with players who are on the same realm as u plus servers that are connected to your server. I have been trading with everybody who connects to my server nagrand. Saurfang and Caelestrasz are merged with mine. You cannot trade with players from other realms

At least one of my “could not trade” problems was with a player from my same server. Had definitely killed, looted, and gotten a gear drop from that same boss.

This happened repeatedly to me as well. Sometimes it worked, but most of the time it didn’t. I should add this was even happening as late as hours before DF launch.

I created a ticket, only to have it unceremoniously closed and marked as resolved the day before launch without explanation. I just flat out expect more from customer support.

We discovered this the first night our guild did group runs for those items. We figured out that if the person you wanted to trade the item to, was in your specific 5-man group, you could trade it. Even though we all were in a raid setup, you still have separate 5-man groups within that setup. Could not trade any to others in the raid unless they were actually in your own 5-man group.

Poorly designed and implemented if Bliz was trying to help players out. Would have been better to make it Boe instead and restrict it from being sold on the AH.
